I don't really see anyone unseating them next year, but much stranger things have happened. Tebow knows that we've had the best team on paper plenty of years and have come up empty.

The Sox didn't make an offer to Mark because they didn't wish to insult him...not because they didn't want him. It's a shame that it's come to this, but I think both the White Sox and the Cardinals (w/ Pujols) were lucky in that other teams bailed them out of having to overpay for the face of their franchise. While I think Mark will do well in Miami, I think this is the best for the White Sox as well.
