The Jarred Kelenic Appreciation Thread
I’m not saying this guy won’t be good but if Sox fans were disappointed with Madrigal I’ve gotta imagine Mariners fans are very disappointed with the early returns on Kelenic.

The Jarred Kelenic Appreciation Thread
For someone that would continually mock Madrigal for his lack of power, Madrigal has a career OPS of .133 higher than Kelenic in the same number of plate appearances. And apparently Kelenic’s defense is horrendous too. Thought this guy was 5-tool?

Sox at Twins 8/9, 7:10
That would be lovely

Sox Acquire Kimbrel; Madrigal, Heuer to Cubs
Are you implying that the prospect return that teams got from the Sox this year is that much better than what the Sox got years back for a bunch of salary dumps? The only player we’ll miss is Madrigal and even then Hernandez is the better player this year and next.

Today's Crazy Play as I Saw it
I was in the park last night. The entire thing was ridiculous. That rule needs to be changed ASAP. It was like a 15 minute delay.

Today's Crazy Play as I Saw it
Like you said you can appeal a check swing but it cannot be challenged. Why would this be any different? Dumb rule.

Today's Crazy Play as I Saw it
Dumbest rule ever. An appeal play shouldn’t even be a thing anymore now that replay is instituted.

Today's Crazy Play as I Saw it
So basically a loophole in the rule? Dumb

Today's Crazy Play as I Saw it
How did the 20 second rule not apply here? Thought you only have 20 seconds after the play is dead to let the umps know you’re challenging the call? That’s the only thing I didn’t understand. They got the call right but how were they even allowed to still challenge?

Lance Lynn locked up 2 years 38 mill + club option
I remember when the preseason projections said Dunning would be as good or better than Lynn THIS season. That was fun.

The Makings of a Juggernaut?
Best record in AL and third best record in MLB heading into the ASB. Vegas futures odds has the White Sox with the third best odds of winning the World Series. Remarkable when you consider the number of injuries to key players. Now if they can just get most of these guys healthy heading into the playoffs, this October could be very fun for White Sox fans.

2021 MLB Draft Day 1 Thread
Why are we asking for Harold’s opinion on prospects? Wasn’t he the poster that said Mendick would outplay Madrigal?
-
The Makings of a Juggernaut?
Still one of the best teams in baseball despite losing three highly productive position players to injury. White Sox fans aren’t used to this!

Madrigal goes on 60 day DL, Hamstring tear: Goodwin recalled
Yea, no kidding. I bet fathom and Harold aren’t upset. I think both liked Mendick better than Madrigal anyway.

The Makings of a Juggernaut?
My definition of juggernaut was AL version of the Dodgers. Don’t think the Sox are far from that come September when Robert and Eloy return.

The Makings of a Juggernaut?
#1, #1, #6 second best record in AL, best run differential in AL

The Makings of a Juggernaut?
It was sarcasm. I said weeks ago that the Sox were the better team this season even without Robert and Eloy. You were on the Twins bandwagon early this season as well (“don’t count them out, they’re not buried yet etc”). Time to nail that coffin shut or do we need to wait until they’re officially eliminated to bury them?

The Makings of a Juggernaut?
Only 1/4 of the way through the season but “probably” not too early to say Minnesota’s habit of playing better than the Sox won’t continue this season...

The Makings of a Juggernaut?
Yea, those peak A’s teams were pretty stacked

The Makings of a Juggernaut?
The front office has essentially built a far more talented moneyball era A’s and I LOVE it.
