  1. you think Gallagher might start next season in Birmingham?
  2. Erik Bedard should win it anyway, so it doesn't matter.
  3. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Sep 3, 2007 -> 09:58 PM) what the hell, are you seriously looking to create the world's least powerful offense? I'm just saying I would like Taveras as my no. 9 hitter as I don't think he is good enough to be leadoff. He'd add speed and good D in CF. While he doesn't hit for much power, he would be a perfect "second leadoff hitter" if you ask me. Something like: Figgins, LF Hu, SS Thome, DH Konerko, 1B Dye, RF Pierzynski, C Fields, 3B Richar, 2B Taveras, CF
  4. I personally would like to see these players get the September call-up: Aardsma, Haeger, Masset, Perez (AA), Sisco, Vasquez, Anderson (if possible???), and Sweeney. While that may seem like a lot of pitchers, a lot of the regular pitchers who we know will be around next season will get pretty much shut down, and we need to audition for next years pen (Perez, Vasquez, Aardsma, etc.). Anderson, I have no f-ing clue. Sweeney, it would be good to see him get a start every other day or so giving Dye/Thome a day off and just playing at the MLB level a little bit more.
  5. the only person from that trade I would have wanted is Taveras. I would bat him 9th however, and not leadoff.
  6. Chin Lung Hu please. Also, I would like Figgins as our CF and leadoff hitter.
  7. As much as I dislike Eckstein, I wouldn't mind bringing him in as a bench player to back up at 2B and SS, and also bring in a real SS like Hu.
  8. Broadway had to be added to the 40 man, right? If so, our 40 man now is full with Lucy also being called up.
  9. QUOTE(CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Sep 3, 2007 -> 12:23 PM) Terrero, Pods and Gonzalez will not be part of this team next year. Erstad possibly in the role we all thought he'd be in this year. We will sign or trade for a productive outfielder. Owens deserves a chance to improve. I like his D except for his arm and his speed. how do you know? To me, if the team had no intentions of having Pods and Gonzalez on this team next year, then they would not be starting. If the team had no intention of bringing back Pods why wasn't he just DFA'd? And why would Gonzalez start instead of just being a backup?
  10. screw the sox, I am going with a Bears wallpaper... but good work as usual Knight!
  11. I'm gonna be taxed out come November... Assassin's Creed, Cod4, Haze. Damn!
  12. McCulloch makes Broadway look like a good selection...
  13. will Fields see any playing time in September now since the great lord Scott Podsednik is back?
  14. I was just watching something on Haze, and man does the game look sick. Winter for me is basically going to consist of Haze and CoD4. And in Madden, I have been in some sort of horrible slump. I have lost 7 out of my last 9 to now make my record 10-10 online.
  15. QUOTE(striker62704 @ Sep 2, 2007 -> 10:33 AM) PS, I know its a pipe dream so no need to rip. no, it is a crack pipe dream...
  16. oops... I forgot to add Erstad to that team. I guess I can see Ozzie and KW going either way with Cintron or Erstad.
  17. I guess I am ready to see a team like this next year: 1. Eckstein, SS 2. Fields, LF 3. Thome, DH 4. Konerko, 1B 5. Dye, RF 6. Pierzynski, C 7. Crede, 3B 8. Rowand, CF 9. Richar, SS BENCH: Jerry Owens & Andy Gonzalez - "dynamic bench duo!"; Lucy - C; Pablo Ozuna - INF; Alex Cintron - INF ROTATION: Buehrle, Vazquez, Garland, Danks, Egbert/Floyd/Gio/Broadway BULLPEN: Jenks, MacDougal, Thornton, Linebrink, Logan, Broadway/Floyd/Sisco/Aardsma ------ I don't want to see a team like that, but I am prepared to.
  18. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Aug 31, 2007 -> 05:50 PM) 8-28-07 -- Daredevil Catch Lazy ass? Really? Step back, assess the situation, and use some logic, and then realize that Rowand isn't as good as Hunter. Rowand isn't as good, but for the money each is gonna get, Rowand would be a much better option.
  19. ESPN IS GONNA DO AN WHOLE BASEBALL TONIGHT EPISODE DEDICATED TO CLAY BUCHHOLZ!&^*&^(*^!&^#@ ZOMG! Actually, I wouldn't put it past them.
  20. G-F up 6-0 through 3 so far. Poreda with 1 H, 0 BB, and 5 K through 3. Marrero, Morgan, and Paiml all with 2 run homers.
  21. Phillip Hughes > Clay Buchholz...
  22. you could at least spell his name correctly
  23. And here comes ESPN reports of Buccholz being the best pitcher to ever live and how he should be in contention for the Cy Young.
  24. these announcers for Boston are probably worse then Hawk and DJ.
