  1. the difference is hardly noticeable and will be upgraded next year for the ps3. 360 might have the edge now, but thats not gonna last long. Plus, last time I checked, I don't have to shell out 50 bucks, or whatever it is, every year to go online.
  2. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Aug 20, 2007 -> 10:52 PM) Ya he's a prospect. I don't know if I'd call him a sure fire guy yet, nor do I consider high upside, but he's a prospect. nothing's sure fire...
  3. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Aug 20, 2007 -> 10:48 PM) How exactly would you deal him for "a lot"? He'll be a rent-a-pitcher coming off a rough year with talk of a "knot" in the last two years? Jon Garland is better then Jason Jennings and I assume he is considered better then Jason Jennings around baseball as well. And last time I checked, Colorado got a pretty good deal for him.
  4. I downloaded the demo but it won't work for me for some reason I'll probably get Bioshock around after Christmas when I do a little upgrading of my computer... who needs a 360?
  5. I must say, Poreda has made me eat some of words against him... but then again, he is only advanced rookie ball for a 21-22 year old 1st round draft pick. He should be easily handling those players.
  6. Can we consider Shelby an actual hitting prospect? Is he top 10 worthy?
  7. QUOTE(WCSox @ Aug 20, 2007 -> 05:55 PM) If Kenny's serious about making another run in '08, Jon isn't going to be dealt this winter. But if this squad struggles out of the gate again next year, I'd be pretty upset if Kenny didn't put Jon on the block in early June. I thought so to. But how can we honestly expect to turn this team around in one year with holes at leadoff, SS, etc. without bumping up the payroll up to 120+ million and/or trading away all of our top prospects, both of which I doubt he does. I am a big Garland supporter, but if trading Garland could allow us to get a SS and leadoff man, while freeing up money to sign a CF and perhaps bullpen arm, I think it would be a no brainer. Believe it or not, we have pretty good starting pitching depth throughout the system.
  8. depends. If we get only garbage offered for him, we'd be best served to keep him.
  9. I am so pissed. Lost a game I should have won in the 4th quarter. now 2-2.
  10. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Aug 20, 2007 -> 10:46 AM) Your idea wouldn't work. If I were the GM, yeah it would B)
  11. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Aug 20, 2007 -> 09:55 AM) He threw 112 pitches, no need to overwork the best starter in the game to try and tie some silly record. Overwork? Half the pitches he throws are changeups. And it isn't about the record, it is about getting the complete game, finishing what you've started. This is almost as bad as the time as Torre took out Wang in the ninth when he had bid for a complete game.
  12. If I was Santana, I'd have punched Gardenhire in the face if he tried pulling me out of the game like that. YOU NEVER take the ball out of your pitchers hand like that.
  13. QUOTE(GreatScott82 @ Aug 20, 2007 -> 06:45 AM) Hunter seems to be the talk around town in most of the newspapers lately. I would love to get him at the right price and years.. Like a 4 year @ 12mil a season, maybe with a 5th year option. But we only do this if we trade Crede and Contreras. Hopefully the Angels do blow it in the first round and we can swing a deal. Crede and Owens for Figgins. And we still have until August 31st to dump Contreras, hopefully Milwaukee or St. Louis gets desperate and decides to take him and half of the remaining of his salary. An outfield of Figgins in LF, Hunter in CF, and Dye in RF, ME LIKEY! An all black OF... My idea to get Figgins would be to work out a three way deal with the Dodgers involving Garland and where we get Hu, Meloan, and Figgins.
  14. I used to have that problem, but just a couple days ago, it stopped. I didn't do anything different, it just stopped.
  15. sue 'em for all their worth! emotional damage as well as "paralysis from the waist down"... don't forget to wear the the neck cast thing...
  16. QUOTE(Sonik22 @ Aug 19, 2007 -> 10:59 PM) I played the #48 in the world guy and his record was around 150-30. I lost by a field goal! I threw 5 picks with Rexy. some people just have no life. In 1 week of being out, the guy has already played 180 games. I bet he's a virgin.
  17. QUOTE(ChWRoCk2 @ Aug 19, 2007 -> 11:39 PM) He must have played a bunch of chumps. Im 10-1 so far. I like using the Lions or Saints, love both offenses and their playbooks. yeah, he wasn't really that good. I'm 2-1. Should be 3-0, but the 1st game I played I was just shaking out the cobwebs.
  18. I don't think we should be asking where our Braun is, as he was a top 5 pick or something like that. But where is our Ryan Howard, Matt Kemp, Russell Martin, etc. Hopefully we won't be asking that question next season when we hopefully draft someone like Pedro Alveras.
  19. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Aug 19, 2007 -> 07:36 PM) How so? We're a last place team with a crappy outfield. Before this signing we had nothing locked up for the 2008 outfield. Except for Aaron Rowand Because I think Dye will only be a shell of his former 05/06 self. I think 07 Dye is the Dye we will mainly see over the next 2 years.
  20. I suppose we will see Wasserman get sent down... I see no point in bringing in Myers.
  21. I just played a game of madden online vs. a guy 24-1... lets just say he is now 24-2. Beat him 52-27...
  22. just for the record, I think this signing will come back to bite us.
  23. We aren't contending any time soon. Let Fields go throw his growing pains at 3B. It will pay off in the long run. However, contending or not, Uribe needs to get his ass back to the Dominican and never come back.
  24. I don't think Garland cares anymore. Can't really blame him either. He could pitch a great game and still get the L since this team is terrible.
