I guess it takes a while for Jenks to find his velocity. Last season it took him about a month or so, IIRC. This season it took him a half of a season and some change... Congrats to Bobby This offense & Greg Walker... booooooooo. Also, I'd still take John Danks over Brandon McCarthy anyday of the week.

Contreras needs to be traded. I don't care if he becomes worth that 10 million a year or not. He is in his 40's, no doubt IMO, and will never be the pitcher he was back in the second half of 05/first half of 06 again. He is old and his stuff is deteriorating. He might show glimpses of what he used to be, but he will never be that pitcher again, IMO. If he can have a good rest of the season and if we could get something decent for him via trade without having to pay over half of his salary to a team, I think KW would have to be a freaking retard not to make the deal. Just my opinion.

The sad thing is Jeff Weaver isn't even impressive at all. I could stomach this a little more if he was actually dominating, but he is leaving pitches up over the plate and hanging breaking balls and one after another, a swing and a miss, a pop out, or a GIDP. This is pathetic.

If I was a GM, I'd only sign him to a 1 year deal with an option for another year. If Texas or somewhere else offers him 3 years or something then it's time to say good bye, IMO.
