  1. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 04:24 PM) Dye played last night. He got taken out the 8th or 9th last night.
  2. I was reading some of the gamethread last night, and some of you guys were ridiculous... Some very interesting things I read was that "Our bullpen sucks"; "AJP is the worst defensive catcher"; "Ozzie is a retard for taking out Dye and putting in Ozuna"; etc. Massive overreactions last night. Now, that was a horrible game to say the least, but what do you expect? It was a horrible day for baseball, and it showed, and both teams looked like garbage.
  3. QUOTE(HeGone33 @ Apr 24, 2007 -> 08:35 PM) What is up with this game? On a side note.........I love me some Brewers baseball the past two days!!! Brewers are gonna win the NL Central with ease as long as Sheets stays healthy.
  4. Dewon Day will own all. But like others have said, with all the pitching depth this team has right now, position players should be the focus.
  5. QUOTE(beautox @ Apr 24, 2007 -> 08:29 PM) carl crawford just hit a grandslam, if the yankees loose tonight they'll be in dead last in the AL East. As long as the Red Sox don't make the playoffs, I'll be perfectly content. I like the Yankees, but I don't care. But I despise the Red Sox, or as I like to call them, the Cubs of the A.L. It'd be pretty sweet if the Jays win the division.
  6. I doubt he hits more then 50... And if the Yankees do make the postseason, I doubt he hits any.
  7. who cares... I could see if it was almost like bribes for beating up on such team, to give them more motivation or something, but this was probably a cheap bottle of champagne all out of jest. This shouldn't even be an issue.
  8. QUOTE(Wanne @ Apr 24, 2007 -> 08:14 PM) No...they wouldn't. Yeah, the Knicks had a deal with some other team to give them their pick if they didn't have a lottery pick. I think it was Sacremento, but I am probably wrong. But since they have a lottery pick, we have the right to swap picks. Really confusing.
  9. QUOTE(knightni @ Apr 24, 2007 -> 08:20 PM) You can always lie to me and say you like it. greatest wallpaper ever... I think Im gonna keep it up even when May ends!
  10. His exact stats vs. Kansas City... 2.25 ERA, 2-1, 28 IP (4 GS), 18 H, 7 ER (8 R), 21 K, .180 BA
  11. QUOTE(HeGone33 @ Apr 24, 2007 -> 07:58 PM) So where the hell is the crowd noise at in Chicago? I was at the game Sat and it was nuts. THese people need to get off their ass its a weekday... what do you expect? So, when can we see Javy dominate the Royals once again. Last year, Javy destroyed the Royals. I think in 5 starts, he had an ERA under 1 vs. them.
  12. Its alright... but I don't want to dis it at all because thats 100x better then me. Plus, I am not a big Crede fan.
  13. Gil Meche can actually turn into the steal of the 06-07 offseason. He looked real good today. QUOTE(mr_genius @ Apr 23, 2007 -> 10:24 PM) do you guys still hate Konerko and want him cut from the team? No one hated him or wanted him gone... everyone wanted him to hit though. Hopefully Konerko keeps this up. If he heats up, along with Dye, and the pitching stays stellar... watch out. Plus, Bobby was hitting 96 today on the gun. Hopefully he can up that at least 2 mph.
  14. winner (must get a post in every winning game thread)
  15. Egbert sounds like a similar pitcher to Webb from what I have read... hope he can pitch like him when he makes the bigs.

    QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Apr 22, 2007 -> 10:37 AM) Did you hate Episode 1, 2 and 3? I liked 1 and 3, hated 2. But none of them compare to star wars, the empire strikes back, and return of the jedi.
  17. Guns are good, people are bad. They need stricter laws on who can buy/sell guns. And there is no better home safety weapon other then the shotgun.
  18. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Apr 22, 2007 -> 07:28 PM) Wilson Valdez is on the Dodgers, and Tony Pena Jr. is on the Royals roster, and that's just off the top of my head. So yeah, these guys would be on other rosters. Wilson Valsez, yes, but Tony Pena has made some sick plays for the royals, and is hitting like .280 something.
  19. QUOTE(Wealz @ Apr 22, 2007 -> 06:22 PM) There are more HR's than triples, but maybe you've stumbled upon what's wrong with the Sox offense. Maybe it's not that they are trying to hit homers, maybe they're making outs by way overusing their "triple swing". I didn't say triples alone, I said triples, doubles, and singles, as a combination. Basically, the chances of you getting a home run is less then the chances of you getting a base hit. Also, part of PK's troubles is that he isn't getting much to hit either because Dye isn't so hot as well.
  20. QUOTE(Wealz @ Apr 22, 2007 -> 04:56 PM) Wrong. wrong? lol. I'll use the Twins for example... They have a collective total of 9 homers, but 168 singles (not counting doubles or triples). So please tell me how I am wrong when I say there are more triples and doubles and singles then there are home runs?
  21. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Apr 22, 2007 -> 04:37 PM) 10 times out of 10, a HR will be a hit. There are more singles, doubles, and triples then home runs.
  22. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Apr 22, 2007 -> 05:37 PM) 10 times out of 10, a HR will be a hit. haha... good one.
  23. QUOTE(Wealz @ Apr 22, 2007 -> 04:43 PM) Provide evidence of this please. 9 times out 10, a line drive will be a hit.
  24. Charlotte won 3-2 Not much offense. Phillips went 6 and gave up 2 runs. Birmingham lost 2-1 No offense here for Gio. Gio went 6, gave up 4 hits, 1 BB, 2 ER (both on the long ball), AND 12 K's Winstom Salem not playing today, and Kannapolis is playing a bit later.
