QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Feb 20, 2006 -> 05:09 PM) While you're at it there should be laws in place that deny Labor Unions the ability to use union dues for political purposes unless the membership approves. I found it SOOOOOOOO funny that they were so vocally opposed to that measure. I mean God forbid they use their money on what the membership actually wants it used for. Would that also apply to the NRA? Both groups spend the money for the same reasons, to advance their membership's mission. I didn't notice the NRA allowing me to opt out of its' contributing to GOP candidates. LOL, this is really about the GOP, who is anti-Union trying to stop funds going to candidates who are pro-Union. Don't pretend it is anything else.

Spring Break
What's everyone's Spring Break plans? I'm spending March 3~26 on South Padre Island. 13-17 is Texas Week, when things get the craziest. This year Oklahoma and almost all of the Texas Universities are out the same week. Any good message boards for spring breakers?

Rotation Order
QUOTE(ZoomSlowik @ Feb 20, 2006 -> 01:49 PM) Personally, I'd go Buehrle-Garcia-Contreras-Garland-Vazquez, which isn't a choice on your poll. I think the first two are your veterans and have been more consistent in the past, Contreras goes before Garland because he is more dominating when he's going well, and Vazquez last in large part because he's the new guy. You could easily move things around though. You gotta love this rotation, considering that even your number 5 can be an ace type pitcher for long stretches. ^^^^^^ for about the same reasons. Buerhle, I can't imagine anyone else. By the time he finishes his career, we'll be saying we saw the greatest Sox hitter and greatest Sox pitcher in our lifetime. Garcia, confidence. Contreras, strong finish last season, but over their careers, I feel better about Garcia. But you can throw both names in a hat and pick either one. Garland Vasquez Again, throw both names in and take your pick. The back of the order suited Garland last season, and I don't see where moving him up helps anybody.

Domestic Terrorism
QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Feb 20, 2006 -> 03:12 PM) People like that should be rounded up and locked in a 5' x 5' cell for a whole lot of years. Just small enough so you cant stand up or lay down. Nuke received a A in his military prison guard class.

Magglio quote
I wonder if 750 players on MLB rosters were all crying in their beer this off season because they didn't become free agents and sign with the White Sox at any price? HA HA those dumb bastards Thomas will be the next one to sing the blues. He should have begged Kenny to keep him at any price. And what about Sandy Alomar? dumb ass signs with Texas! They were out of it in June.

QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Feb 20, 2006 -> 12:51 PM) Hate to disapoint, but viruses have NOTHING to do with the proccessor a computer uses. It's about vulnerablities in the OS. OS X is more secure than Windows, but not totally impenitrable. My understanding was the language changes to the Mac OS to accomodate Intel would make virus writing easier for the mainstream virus writer. It would be less of a learning curve. You are right, now that I put my hardware brain back on, it really shouldn't make much of a difference.

Not a fan. Work on changing the laws, not by ruining someone's life.

BTW, if I was a Mac OS user, I'd be more worried about the viruses that will follow the move to Intel architecture. It will make Mac a nicer target.

QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Feb 20, 2006 -> 12:09 PM) I have no problem with this. It's a website that shows how to circumnavigate a copywrite and illegally hack an OS. THis is no differant that shutting down Napster for illegally sharring music. No No No, read again, they had links to the sites that do that. So if we liked to them, Apple could shut us down. BTW, that is why soxtalk doesn't allow links of that kind. We also shut down any threads talking about pirated software, etc. ^^^^^^^^^^^ For Apple's benefit

QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Feb 20, 2006 -> 12:09 PM) I don't get it Tex. What do you see as wrong with this? Apple is protecting its proprietary software from various types of theft. I would expect any software company (or software division) to do the same. Their code is their lifeblood, and Apple OS is not open-source, right? So what bothers you about this? I'm not bothered at all. I find it kind of funny, that the computer of the creative, free thinking set, zealously protects it's intellectual rights with the frenzy zeal of Homeland Security. Plus they are shutting down the people talking about it, not the sites where it is done. Shhhh, they may shut us down next, for talking about it. Plus, who can resist a chance to jab Mac users, they get in that Mac frenzy that is so much fun to watch.

Dubai Ports selling out
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Feb 20, 2006 -> 11:40 AM) We have border patrol agents all over the Mexican border too. And I bet that in 2001, there were a few security personnel at Logan airport. There is a difference with a port. They are inspecting cargo, matching manifests, etc. Far different than patrolling a remote desert locations trying to find something hidden, *and* able to think.
