Americano got the sleepy eye But his body’s still shaking like a live wire Sleepy señorita with the eyes on fire Oh, mexico It sounds so sweet with the sun sinking low Moon’s so bright like to light up the night Make everything all right

Chavez: Greatest Ever?
The boxing game is pretty cool until the heavyweight division and the money and b.s. I remember sitting in a HS gymnasium (St. Anns?)watching the golden gloves when Spinks had a nephew or something like that fighting. Telender had the seat next to mine, he's always been my favorite sports writer. That was pure boxing. A lot of fun. We have a lot of Mexican fighters coming over here for some decent matches. The lower weights are really cool. DeLaJoya is producing fights now.

Let me get this straight, this format is for people who want an iPod shuffle experience, but don't have an iPod. So, are there many advertisers that want to market to people too cheap to buy their own iPod shuffle?- June Quotes of the Month.

Mars ain't the kind of place to raise your kids In fact it's cold as hell And there's no one there to raise them if you did And all this science I don't understand It's just my job five days a week A rocket man, a rocket man- Who would you start in a 7 game series?
I'd wait to see who has the hot arm in October. We have 5 very good starting pitchers this season. Anyone could be on a 10-0 run heading into a post season appearance. I do see Mark in game 1, after that, anything could make sense then.- Notes: Harris' days numbered?
I's like to see one of these guys, and I do not care which one, in a package trade for a starting 3B. Crede + (Harris, Perez, Ozuna) + whatever FutureSox we need to toss in. Just tossing one of these guys to AAA isn't helping the here and now.- Tribune article about Frank's attitude
Anyone who isn't concerned how Frank will handle a platoon situation is probably not a Sox fan, certainly not a long time one. Frank is a HoF caliber player and hes being asked to platoon at best because another player is swinging the bat better. Frank has always been honest about how he feels and many times other players and management haven't been happy with that. What happens this season and how Frank handles it, will go a long way in determining his HoF chances. It isn't fair, but it will.- Time to revisit the attendance concerns
Another issue is the division we play in. All those games against the Royals, Tigers, and Indians, with very little drawing power, also hurts our attendance. We killed out selves 30 years ago when the team went pay per view and the Cubs had SuperStation WGN. I forget the TV system ON_TV or something like that. Prior to that we were on UHF Channel 44, poor reception in the suburbs, and the Cubs were beaming WGN with a better picture. We lost a generation. I'm guessing the die hard, knowledgeable, baseball fan base is split about 45-55. The casual, goes to one or two games a year and couldn't tell Crede from Walker are split 80-20 to the Cubs. That's the battleground. The casual "bandwagon jumpers" we make fun of. Those are the fans we need at the games. Instead of looking at them in disgust and talking about being a "true fan"; we need to suck it up and welcome them and hope they bring 10 friends to their next game.- Chavez: Greatest Ever?

Dollars to donuts he was working up an Endy Chavez thread and looking desparately for news about some Sox minor leaguer or draft prospect named Chavez to make a clean sweep of the front page. Let's write a story using song lyrics. Couple of easy rules to follow. 1. Please use songs that there is a reasonable chance most of the posters have heard, 2. Try and follow the story 3. Quote between 2-4 lines of the song.- HUGE FAVOR
QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ Jun 3, 2005 -> 11:05 PM) The tricky thing about BitTorrent is the bevel tool. You have to set the orientation of the vertical plane to .442 and then place it under the direct select option. Then you download it and watch your masterpiece. or you can use the short cut and click on while in freeze frame view. That way you see the masterpiece and the slavepiece layered via dithering.- Irresponsible Journalism
