  1. Yeah. I have a pennant and WS bet in. I wish I didn't get to Illinois during spring break. That stuff is illegal here in Texas.
  2. Because that's the norm and I'm generally an empathetic person.
  3. Yes. It's a minor between the lines issue, a really big issue for Brooks Boyer and team marketing. Are you going to build a campaign around him and risk alienating folks who aren't so forgiving? Tony is a PR nightmare. Now this. Not the best headlines.
  4. And for the record I know I don't condone cheating and I doubt anyone here does. But to me it's a private matter. I feel sorry for the innocent people involved. It's probably not good for his baseball playing. Seems like Earl Woods was right, women are the down fall of professional athletes.
  5. So true. I feel really bad for his wife, whether the story is true or false.
  6. Unavailable or Tony is an idiot. I'd rather think Tony is an idiot but I think you're right.
  7. A thread was started. Splitting the topics is probably better. Hopefully some for that Charlotte magic comes his way.
  8. We've been calling him a raging alcoholic and drunk in the dugout. Tim rocking the double life like Warren Buffett is pretty tame in comparison. He's trying for Wilt Chamberlain's record. Who was the NBA guy with a dozen kids by a dozen women?
  9. Let's realize it isn't the coaches it's Tony. Katz is doing the best he can with crappy players. Tony is just making it worse by not using them effectively. Plus I love high school coaches. I also think Keuchel has just broken down. I don't believe even if you allowed him the sticky stuff he would still dominate. Father time caught up with him.
  10. Exactly. I would have no idea about a similar story involving most any other team.
  11. So everything good with pitching is Katz, everything bad is Tony. I like that! Hopefully the next manager keeps him.
  12. You're probably right You'd think there would be a lot more pitchers out of the game after the ban. Ones not even that good with the sticky stuff.
  13. So somewhere there is a AA guy that with sticky stuff could win a Cy Young? I just can't believe that's 100% of the reason.
  14. Seems like he got the job because he was Giolito's high school coach and as @Balta1701 has pointed out Tony loves friends and family. Keuchel went from Cy Young to out of MLB. Injuries left and right. The bullpen can't seem to hold anyone. Is it time to look at Katz as the culprit? Do we need a different approach or not his fault?
  15. First from the glory times starting last season (2021) Menechino, 50, enters his second season as the White Sox hitting coach. The Sox in 2020 led the AL in home runs (96), slugging percentage (.453) and run differential (+60) and ranked second in average (.261), runs scored (306) and OPS (.779). The White Sox were one of just four teams (also Atlanta, the Dodgers and Philadelphia) in baseball to feature five players with 10-plus homers. First baseman Jose Abreu was named AL MVP and won an AL Silver Slugger Award, outfielder Luis Robert finished second in AL Rookie of the Year voting, and shortstop Tim Anderson and outfielder Eloy Jiménez also won AL Silver Slugger Awards. So why is he coaching differently now? Orders from Tony? Hahn?
  16. It's their job to watch their team everyday and know what's happening with division rivals. Are they fans? Probably not. Which clouds the writer's judgement I'm sure. It's tough to be objective when you're not a fan.
