The trade is looking better. Hitting is contagious, a couple guys get hot, then soon everyone is.

Combination of them not hitting, guys elevating, and luck. Mostly luck at this point.

Hendriks now to IL with Right Forearm Strain
Reading through the thread posters here saw signs last year. I imagine the team would have also.

Here is the story line. Whatever lead we have, we lose it in the 8th, with no chance to come back.

Oh, we'll get five from him. The last two outs in the fifth will be an adventure.

What doesn't make sense? The pieces fit. I know we'd rather think the entire organization are idiots.

As we know with Kimbrel, closing is totally different. Kimbrel sucked in the 7th similar to Lambert. Maybe with the added pressure of closing Lambert will be awesome. Of course Hopefully other teams will waste time prepping for multiple closers.

So the team that had the best closer in baseball, possibly knew he was living on borrowed time, goes out at the trade deadline and gets the second best closer as insurance. Brilliant if the second best wasn't a complete bust. How Hahn keeps his job?

It's time to put Jose out to pasture
Is there a statistical difference if a LH gets a hit off a RHP instead of a RH? It seems like what we want is anyone who can hit RHP?

Liam for Joe Kelly and David Martin. Sounds like a trade we think other teams would take.

Fire Tony - Then What?
Who is available? It seems like they would announce an interim manager. Looking at the current coaches Katz is about the only one having a good year, but he would be a long shot. Anyone managing in MiLB that could come up? Fired guys?

Tony is not creating a positive, confident attitude. It's tough to break out of a slump when your manager keeps putting the team in bad positions and you are losing.
