  1. Hep, the one damn post we actually want, regarding the Sears Tower, you won't post

I was just talking to an adult who had her laptop with her Master thesis stolen. She offered a $500 reward for the Word file and some related documents and the culprit could keep the machine. It broke my heart. She had zero backup. :headshake

AOL and a Mac, so easy to use even a college professor can figure it out

This is like the Emperor telling everyone to buy his clothes.
  5. Dispite being rapidly outpaced by SS2k4 in total posts, ChiSoxfn continues to add to his steller lifetime totals by recently surpassing the 18,000 post count.
  6. Last year I didn't regret not having any Cub fans close by, now I kindof miss them
  7. Daley: Fix Wrigley, or I'll shut it down 4 busloads from Iowa?? I'm shocked!
  8. Since when ? Start the story, sources close to me . . .
  9. LMAO, excellent. Of course any Cubs story that ends with next year is frickin' funny
  10. Just mention Nascar and watch the posts fly SS2k4, forget the .700 batting average in above average range at ss. After doing a little computing, and using a run of the mill keyboard, you are expending more energy and displaying better fine motor skill in posting 125 times per day at an average word count of 30, including spaces. You, my friend, as a poster, are a much better athlete than most Nascar drivers.

Thank you, it spared me some green to use later.

Fewer Army Recruits Lined Up I am a little surprised that the decline began in 2001, after Clinton left office.
  14. Being a great player doesn't automatically make a person a great coach. I think that the players that struggled to stay in the majors with less God given talent become better students of the game and can be of more help to players. I am a big Fisk fan and wish he was on better terms with the Sox organization.
  15. We'll see how the game goes. I believe we will see something behind or close. I'd be very surprised if a warning isn't issued early. I'd like to see a Cards stance. Toss one early then kick their ass in the final score.
  16. If Mark was playing on an average team, he'd be struggling to a .500 record. Perhaps if Freddy developes into the #1, Mark will pitch better with some pressure off. At times, as this thread proves, he's brilliant.
  17. From the same article praising Kong and Freddy comes this about Mark
  18. Of course you can . . . . . . having it clear may be another issue
  19. IMHO this is the best Sox team since the strike. I wish Frank was healthy, but he may be back for the stretch run. I like the young guys in their spots, veterans in others, and some nice role players in others. I like Oz managing not his early over managing. If we do not pull any more trades, I will still be happy. I am expecting one more, small tremmer, not an earthquake trade.
  20. Wait a minute. Let's put two and two together. No reports at all until recently. Sox4lifeinPA is in Texas -- No reports. Sox4lifeinPA goes in tour and the sightings start. I think PA may be at the root of this. I do miss his posts.
  21. What we are seeing is a brilliant strategy by the GOP to undermine one of our greatest tools in keeping government honest, a free press. What good is a free press if no one will believe it? By sending out Rush, Hannity, O'Reilly, etc. day after day and convincing the American public that the media is wrong and only conservative talk show hosts speak the truth, they are making themselves critic proof. As I sad, a brilliant strategy. The Soviet Union had TAAS, the GOP has Rush, Hannity, O'Reilly et.al. It's like Zambrano complaing about showboating.
  22. That is amazing. I also wonder why we can't get Al Jazeera here.
  23. And Mexico should send troops into US cities, gather up all the users who create the demand, and send them to Mexican jails. Of course law enforcement in the US should be allowed to shoot any suspected dealer or user. Then we have a war on drugs. If we kill all the users there will be no dealers or smugglers.
