Clemens turns down a hummer?
That's why it's a joke "he joked that he might have to return it."

Dollar Bill Wirtz
I don't buy the in it for the money. While it is damn near impossible to lose value in a sports franchise, I don't think these guys make to much on a franchise. I think we have more Mark Cubans than Trib Companies in the owner ranks.

Former Hawks Start Keith Magnuson Died
Keith is my all time favorite Hawk. I had an opportunity to meet him at a friend's birthday party. He kept in great shape, was wonderful to be around, put up with the drunks at the party. Damn, this is sad news. During that era in Chicago sports we also had Sloan and VanLier, two other gritty, defenseman. I thought they captured the Chicago work ethic perfectly. RIP, and my prayers to to his family.

Polls Open Tonight
They are the dirty dozen with me acting as a clearing house and not voting. I'm the only one who knows who's on the committee. They have anywhere from 500 posts and up and are Admins, Mods, and regular members. Male, Female. Young, old. I tried and mixed it up. Mostly it was just to double check eberyone's nomination and see if anyone needed to be added.

Jealous Wife Cuts Off Husband's Penis
A couple of thoughts after reading this and the other cases: #1. How do so many women manage to gain access to do the deed? It's the easiest thing in the world. If our penis is erect, put skates on us and call us a pull toy. We don't ask "what does she have in mind?" No we think She can lead us anywhere. These guys where probably thinking oooh what kind of kinky s*** is she thinking with that knife? #2. Is an erect penis easier to cut than a limp? Don't know why that is interesting. I guess I'm just thinking about the final moment :puke #3. If this is going to happen to you, be in the US of A. So far, in Addadicktomes, the US seems to be 1 for 1; the rest of the world is 0 for 3. Say what you will about US surgeons but they kick ass in reattaching severed penises

Polls Open Tonight
Judging by the award nominations stick to White Sox analysis and leave the comedy to OH my God BEGOOD. The polls should be up tomorrow evening or sooner. Most of the committee members have reviewed the nominations and we are almost finished.

Salary Implications & Trades
Brando, what I'm seeing is use the Kong or Koch Kash to sign a free agent pitcher.

Salary Implications & Trades
It seems that some of our high salary low 2003 result guys (kong, koch) aren't attracting much interest. At some point is it possible they may be thrown into a mad deal as "make up"? We'll take a little less in the main trade (Magg's or Lee) but you have to take one of these two salaries. That or I see a trade where we are picking up some of the salary. Thoughts?

Nice Sick policy
I am wondering if this is because the police are probably self insured for short term disability and long term diability doesn't kick in until after the 365 days are used up. Many companies have a three tier progarm with this benefit: Tier One Company Paid Sick Days Tier Two Short Term disability Tier Four Long Term disability Put another way, one company I worked for dropped their short term disability insurance after the determined they were paying $$$$$ and by self insuring and paying people as if they were working, it would cost $$$. So basically I would be charged on my budget for every one of my employee's illnesses until long term disability kicked in after 6 months. Then when their long term disability rates went up, they negotiated a policy that wouldn't kick in until the employee missed 1 year. Since there was no short term disability insurance, each employee was given, in effect, 365 company paid sick days, before long term disability started footing the bill.

Carl Everett signs with Expos
I know as an adult, salary structure, arbitration rules, FA, signing bonuses and etc. are fun winter time activities. I wonder if this is killing the sport for the kids?

Damn good candy
Pringles has a new single serve container. I'm not a fan of their chips but they have been advertising the hell out of them here for school lunches. What is so stupid is almost every kid here receives a free school lunch.

Damn good candy
I can't believe I have something down here before the rest of the world. We're so far behind the times, there is one video rental shop that still has Beta movies in stock. They are packaged similar to the new Pringle Snackers. They are chocolate with a couple ribbons of peanut butter. Thin like a pringles potato chip. (For you hoosiers, that is potatoe)

Jealous Wife Cuts Off Husband's Penis
Recycled. I can't remember my cell phone number but I can remember a joke I told 20 years ago. I guess I know what's important.

Minor league Rule V
This Minor League Rule V is really just a joke. I wonder who the greatest Rule V player of all time is. I can't believe I'm interested, but I am. Is there a 12 Step program to help me?

Jealous Wife Cuts Off Husband's Penis
At least she brought the severed penis with her to the hospital, didn't Lorena toss it our a car window, prompting the motorist it hit to say: I don't know what that bug was but it was hung like a man!

Carl Everett signs with Expos
His attitude was excellent with the Rangers and the White Sox, too bad problems early in his career will dog him forever. I'm glad he's in the NL but hey, don't we play the Expos next season?

Damn good candy
Same shape as a Pringles, great taste of a peanut butter cup. I know they were probably out six years ago back in civilization.

Minnesota Wild Sued for Over Serving
1. Certainly she now has a paralysed husband she is legally responsible for. 2. Would be considered in determining damages. Projected lifetime earnings vs. what he could earn in his present condition. 3. Even if separated, she still is responsible. Happiness won't but legal status would play in an award. 4. I'm not certain how the Wild would be less responsible if the guy was an alchoholic except that he would have been better at hiding how drunk he was. But since they kicked him out for his behavior he didn't hide it too well. How pissed would you be if you knew a bar kicked out your (insert loved one here) because he/she was too drunk. Knowing he/she probably lived a considerable distance from the bar. (how many people are at a Hawks game ~and~ live near the stadium. I guess we are looking at legally a victim or emotionaly a victim. I believe she deserves the same protection under the law as the wife of someone he may have killed. Full disclosure. Some of you know my brother died while driving drunk. The bar, after serving him 6 pitchers of beer in two and a half hours, served him close to 10 shots in the next hour before helping him out the door. They only had 22 people in the bar at the time with 2 bartenders and 3 waitresses. Anyone that tells me my mom and dad aren't victims because they were related to him has no clue. These laws are in place to protect us from ourselves. Just like motorcycle helmets, seatbelt laws, etc.

Something to do when bored...
What do you want to do? I dunno, what do you want to do? Let's win every auction on eBay for the next 2 hours. Do you think they want to take KW's spot at the winter meetings
