Keeping these guys from lunch for basically being obnoxious assholes in class. They never listen, always disrupt. So we're going to be spending some quality time together.

One of the things I like about baseball is every field is different. Hockey has gottena way from that. Of course football and basketball have all been about the same.

Eventually the two knuckleheads I am keeping in from lunch will cave in.

I am the "gadget guy" around school and the tech department dropped off a wireless tablet from eInstruction the InterwriteMobi. Basically I can project whatever is written on the tablet for everyone to see. It will also "telestrate" notes over images and act like a mouse. I am trying to think of some projects to use it. I believe this also ends the last of the "safe" investments, real estate. People will now understand that there are risks and values can fall. I remember buying my first house, conventional wisdom was buy more house than you could currently comfortably afford because your income will rise and the value of the home will increase. It worked wonderfully for me because A and B happened, now I realize how foolish that move may have been.

Jersey Shores is yet another reality show I will never watch. Not that I'm some high brow intellect, but it just seems stupid.,

Mine would cost about that. Adding just my kids costs me $400 per month. We are a medium sized school district with the best salaries in a four county area. This is one area we lag ever so slightly behind other districts.

I've had to relearn some of Quicken. My gf and I have a joint household account, plus individual. Getting reports has been a pain. The accounts are at my bank, so transfers are easy, but it really goofs up the category stuff in Quicken. After using Quicken for 20 years, it sducks to have to relearn it. lol I have savings and investments taken out automatically when I get paid. What I had never really done before for sweeping each month. Before, I would wait until the balance built, then do something with it. I can see where doing it monthly, even if it is only $100 or $200 bucks is smarter.

NSS, I believe it was somewhere in this thread you mentioned "sweeping" money into savings each month. I started sweeping anything left in my account at the end of a pay cycle and it has resulted in many hundreds of dollars in additional savings. I suspect by the end of the year I will save a few thousand dollars extra. In the past it would have kind of accumulated and eventually I would have made a frivilous purchase without much thought. Now I find myself sticking to my spending plan a little better. Thanks.

There is a major problem with my answer. I believe people should be compelled to act up to their comfort and skill level. That is impossible to quantify in a court of law. For example, someone may have taken a course in First Aid, but not feel comfortable coming to the aid of a car crash victim. It does seem criminal to me, and I use criminal specifically, for someone to stand by and watch someone suffer or die. So I'd agree with the law and hope that a jury would be able to sort out the marginal situations.

The enemy of my enemy is my friend. So any anti-Obama and anti-Dem folks are friends to the GOP. Now some friends you will stand proudly with and have your picture taken, the tea party folks seem to be forced to use the back door.

Also wondering if an undocumented worker pays the fee, is he covered?

I am still wondering if the fire department could be held liable if (it didn't they wetted down the fence line) the neighbor's house burned down because they allowed a containable fire to grow out of control. Sorry Misses O'Leary we can't respond to your barn fire, you didn't pay the fee.
