QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jul 12, 2009 -> 06:50 PM) Dude, you need to learn how to process that yourself. No use in paying people to cut your meat when you can do it yourself. First of all, a freezer full of backstrap is my dream. Second, my other dream is to hunt on a ranch down in Texas. When I get older, I'm going to take my dad down there for a week long trip or so. I've watched way too many hunting shows and the racks on the deer down there are insane. The ranch hunts down here are crazy, depending on the ranch. Generally a lease will get you all the hogs you want to take; and specific restrictions on the deer. Most of the better leases try hard to manage the herd. Texas does not allow gathering the herd and transporting deer from one area to the other for biological diversity. So the choices become high fence and keep your deer yours, or low fence and allow them to jump from ranch to ranch.

QUOTE (CanOfCorn @ Jul 6, 2009 -> 12:25 PM) I know mine is there...and she can continue to take her slow trip to hell. Go Facebook!!! Earlier somehow my relationship update was changed to "married" Wow, talk about pissing her off. She actually thought she would find out about any nuptials via facebook. Like I wouldn't especially enjoy calling her with the good news and listening first hand

QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jul 12, 2009 -> 01:17 AM) For those of you that hunt deer (maybe just Slav and I?), if you take your deer into get processed, what's your favorite stuff to get? Currently eating some jalapeño deer sticks that are just f***ing awesome. You can send all the backstrap to me . . . I am off the lease I had been hunting on and looking for another that will not be too expensive. Y'all up north do not know how lucky you are. Instead of helping farmers by controlling the herd, down here the deer are more valuable than the crops. So we actually buy feed corn to fatten them up before harvesting and pay several thousand to get on a decent lease.

QUOTE (SHIPPS @ Jul 11, 2009 -> 02:28 PM) I am a pretty insensative person so I see it as a bunch of people who havent cared enough to visit a grave site for years and now that they found out these people did this they act like they are so devastated they wont make it through this. Hence money from settlements is what they are eyeballing with the whole dramatic act that they put on in front of the news. SHIPPS, there are a whole lot of reasons to not visit, but you trust your loved ones remains are respected. There is comfort on knowing they are "resting comfortably". Having said that, I am certain there are some who could care less and are thinking about paydays.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 11, 2009 -> 05:53 PM) it appears that Sarah Palin is the first governor in at least 109+ years to resign office for seemingly no obvious reason. If that proves to be true, I find that so cool.

QUOTE (onedude @ Jul 11, 2009 -> 10:50 AM) no kidding. the nails are the dirtiest part of the hand. clipped my nails all my life, fingers 2 times a week, and toes 1 every other week. One toes every other week?? SO in 20 weeks they all have been cut once??

QUOTE (Tex @ Jul 11, 2009 -> 12:06 PM) I trust that my brother is still buried at Ascension in Libertyville. I have not visited the grave in years, and would be outraged if they sold the lot. It's not like a bicycle that you need to keep locked up and watch. At least I would hope not.

QUOTE (Jake @ Jul 10, 2009 -> 10:58 PM) Urine is sterile guys, not really a big deal. Really. Get your piss-money. I'll bet Jake has passed every urine test he has taken.

I'm going to reserve judgment until the killers are caught. There is just a nagging thought in the back of my mind about who may have done this.

There is a special place in hell for these people. Wasn't Dinah Washington on the Nights of Rodanth soundtrack?

QUOTE (lostfan @ Jul 10, 2009 -> 05:57 PM) What's Durbin done that shows him be unfit for re-election? That's what I'm trying to say. I like him. Hey, who doesn't like Dick? And since Dick's staff helped you out and all, even more reasons to like Dick.

QUOTE (The Critic @ Jul 10, 2009 -> 04:37 PM) I think it's Tex's way of disassociating himself from the White Sox. Traitor. Ouch.
-
QUOTE (lostfan @ Jul 10, 2009 -> 04:40 PM) Durbin really isn't that bad... and I've actually called on him directly before, and he's helped me out. Well, his staff, same thing. And that is the factor that most people do not think about. The staffs are everything. And they jump from party to party and state to state.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 10, 2009 -> 04:29 PM) There is a scary thought, and Death is not an option... Roland Burris or Alan Keyes as your Senator... I will say that is one spot where Indiana can LOL at a lot of states. Bayh and Lugar are a very impressive pair. In the names of Douglas, Simon, and Dirksen, what has happened to the Illinois Senators?
-
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 10, 2009 -> 03:36 PM) Well that is nice at least... I'd be really pissed if I thought he qualified. 5 years seems OK, based on the level of benefit. I never thought about it until now, but how would term limits and retirement work out? That just might be one area I like term limits.

QUOTE (vandy125 @ Jul 10, 2009 -> 03:55 PM) How many just looked to see if they had one after seeing this? I know I did. So did I

QUOTE (hogan873 @ Jul 10, 2009 -> 03:24 PM) There may be a Veteran's Preference" when it comes to federal jobs, but I don't think it gives you much of an advantage. I thought some jobs were only available to veterans? I've seen signs at the post office where they were only accepting applications from vets.

QUOTE (knightni @ Jul 10, 2009 -> 01:53 PM) Tweezers on nose hairs. It only hurts for a few seconds. maybe if I was drunk enough, that crosses my eyes and causes them to water. I'd be screaming like a middle school girl.

QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ Jul 10, 2009 -> 02:46 PM) Now he just gets another government pension check for a job he didnt deserve. Added to the Illinois pension checks he gets, I don't think he will be eating Ramen noodles anytime soon, regadless of his campaign debt. Ah no he won't. Not enough time served.

I knew I was getting old when I stopped wanting stuff that would grow hair on my chest, instead I was interested in stuff that would quit making it grow everywhere else.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 10, 2009 -> 12:12 PM) If you're up for reading it, there's some more bizarre details coming out about this story and how the wife of the guy in the affair approached a Christian politician group that Ensign was a member of and people from that group literally walked with him to the mailbox to make sure he was actually breaking off the affair, etc. Can we call him less intelligent than Dan Quayle or Sarah Palin?

QUOTE (knightni @ Jul 10, 2009 -> 11:17 AM) Heck yeah. Best accurate/power OF arm I've ever seen by a Sox player. If he had stayed healthy enough to play D

QUOTE (The Critic @ Jul 10, 2009 -> 11:19 AM) As always, I turn to Chris Rock [paraphrasing because my feeble mind can't recall exact quotes]: "If you give up half of 30 million.....you're gonna be all right. If you give up half of 30 THOUSAND.....you might just have to kill somebody!!! I ain't movin' back in with my Momma cuz YOU AIN'T IN LOVE!!!!" Exaggerated for the sake of laughs, of course, but my point is, it's probably easier to absorb a divorce when you have money to spare. However, I'm not going to assume he told this girl he was leaving his wife. It could have been something she dreamed up in her obviously unstable mind. Exactly. Plus if you have $15 mil in the bank, you will be back "in love" tonight. If you have an extra $20 bucks to blow this week on a date, well, the $20 is all that will get blown.
