You will not get as close of a shave, but try shaving down on your face and up on your neck. Razor irritation generally happens when you are going against the grain. It may not feel as close, but it will generally look fine. Also, use a sharp blade, as the blades dull, they will increase irritation. Also, the razor rash will masquerade as zits at times. As far as the norelco, it will probably give you the worst razor burn of your life, if the directional thing is the problem.

I remember the stories growing up. My mom and Aunts and Uncle went to a different Catholic School, but sicne it was kind of like family, they knew a bunch of people over there. I feel bad for the Priest who made the "birthday party" remark. There really isn't anything good to say in those situations, it always seems to come off wrong. I wonder if it was hearing these stories growing up, Boy Scouts, or something else, but I do look for emergency exits, and take those safety drills serious to this day.
