  3. QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ Sep 19, 2008 -> 03:34 PM) Tex, there are fake ID's, and there are FAKE ID's. Yes, some forgeries are good. Do you punish people for those? Neh. But if the birth certificate of social security card looks like someone made it in their basement with an old IBM Seletric, then yeah, you punish them. KNOWINGLY is the ppint there. Some fakes are so bad, that the only way to get by is if someone wants them to. You can also get the ACLU and immigrant groups to STFU about the social secirity number check they tried to institute, but is in court now by those two groups. Employers are supposed to submit ss numbers for verification to make sure names match the numbers, but somehow the ACLU finds that to be a bad thing. And I was very sure of my guys ID's. Especially Juddlings, since he is my brother. We're close to agreeing. I just get very protective of American business when I look at other penalties for accepting forgeries. No body says if you have a guy working for you that is wanted for murder, shut down the business. But if you have someone working for you that is here illegally, they want the business shut down. Doesn't seem fair to the business and potentially a disaster for our economy. We bail out banks for bad decisions, then turn around and put an employer out of business? When half our agriculture companies are closed, what does that do for our economy and our ability to feed ourselves?

  5. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 19, 2008 -> 02:42 PM) Seriously, I didn't like it when they went after Obama for Rev Wright, so I'm not going to go after HMP because of this. Exactly. I really don't care who she listens to. It's her actions that are more important.
  6. You may notice some changes, don't worry it is perfectly normal . . .
  7. How certain are you about your employees identity? Would you bet your business those documents are legit and those people are who they claim to be? No stolen identities? Now how would you feel if these were forgeries and you were put out of business? Museums have been fooled. Way back when I was working at Harlem-Irving Plaza I mistakenly accepted a counterfeit bill, how wrong it would have been if I was held responsible.
  8. QUOTE (Cali @ Sep 19, 2008 -> 02:33 PM) For real? Is it archived anywhere?

  13. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Sep 19, 2008 -> 12:43 PM) As I've made clear several times, I consider myself an independent because I tend to have far right "morals", but leftist economic and fiscal policies. So with that being said, I disagree with Obama on abortion, gay marriage (he calls them "civil unions"), and some others (I am drawing a black mind right now). I think your Freudian slip is showing
  14. QUOTE (kapkomet @ Sep 19, 2008 -> 01:41 PM) 'Cept that's impossible because it's in Minnie. Dammit, I was liking the scenario bastard
  15. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Sep 19, 2008 -> 11:51 AM) So Palin has her Rev Wright now? /pops bowl of popcorn and passes some to Kap
  16. I am disappointed in Palin as the Veep. It seemed desperate, and I have concerns about his decision making. And I don't have any specifics against her, but I liked McCain for his experience and be seemed to be discounting the very attribute I appreciated the most. And honestly, I'm hoping he dives for the left as soon as he's elected and gets back in touch with his maverick independent roots.
