  1. QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 12, 2005 -> 03:46 PM) Hmmm... that's a cool idea - not Packers tickets - but something like that. Maybe we'll just do something small. Thanks QP. Technically, it's a really cold idea, but I catch your drift.
  2. QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 12, 2005 -> 03:27 PM) I think a lot of people think they are underpaid.. doesn't mean they are not good workers or that they don't excel at what they do.. just means they work somewhere where scale isn't where it should be. (as close to a hand raising smilie as I could get lol)
  3. We are paying for the big day so I am not sure if we are doing that. Regardless, I am planning on trying to get tickets for a Packers game in Lambeau for him though. We had a blast (even though our feet were frozen solid by the end of the game and they lost) when we went last December.
  4. QUOTE(winodj @ Apr 12, 2005 -> 01:04 PM) My grandmother would have just shut the hell up and cooked the rabbit. Sounds like my great-gramma. She and great-grampa raised rabbits for food. My mom said neither her nor my great-gramma could eat the rabbits after caring for them, but I guess great-grampa loved rabbit. :puke
  5. Brian and I will be at saturday's game. Just look for the guy in a Mariners jersey fighting with a chick in a Konerko jersey.
  6. QUOTE(YASNY @ Apr 12, 2005 -> 12:34 PM) Don't hold your breath. Sad thing is I have had several coworkers telling my boss I deserve a huge raise and I know that if I get one, it will be the typical 3%.
  7. QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 12, 2005 -> 11:46 AM) Anyone gotten one lately...? I'm wondering what the average increase % is these days.. I was promised one, but haven't gotten it yet. At my company, 2.5%-3% is the norm. I damned well better be getting more than that since I have taken over the responsibilities of two other dearly departed employees.
  8. QUOTE(mreye @ Apr 12, 2005 -> 10:35 AM) I lived there for a year. Absolutely hated it! (And that was before I became a conservative) I traveled there last spring and was happy to leave. I was in the San Diego area, which wasn't bad, but it is just not my cup of tea. A friend of ours is moving there end of next month (to be with her bf from what we understand). Wish her the best of luck. The weather is great there and it seems to be alot like Chicago from the little bit of time I was there (and from what a co-worker of mine tells as she travels there on business once a month).
  9. QUOTE(ChiSoxyGirl @ Apr 11, 2005 -> 03:57 PM) Thing Christopher Reeve. You break a cervical disk--you won't be able to breathe because communication between the body and the brain has been cut off. That's what I was thinking. I was also thinking that has to be a horrible way to die. for him and his family

    Man Date

QUOTE(ChiSoxyGirl @ Apr 11, 2005 -> 04:03 PM) Although, my favorite male "rule" is the leaving a seat between two men (that are friends and seeing the same movie) in the theatre. Never understood that... That used to crack my friend and myself up whenever we would see that when we would go to the show.
  11. QUOTE(Y2HH @ Apr 11, 2005 -> 04:14 PM) You KNOW Oz will use Shinjo. I hope you are kidding.
  12. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Apr 11, 2005 -> 04:02 PM) YES PODS WITH A SHOT SOX LEAD IT 2-1 YESSSSSSSSS Woohoo! Two out hitting, ya gotta love it.
  13. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Apr 11, 2005 -> 04:00 PM) Solid AB here, Joe, out or no out. How so? (I am following the thread here and all I have seen is 0-2 and a strike that wasn't called so I want to know what I am missing - is he learning patience!)
  14. It's nice that the Cubs lose, but at this point in time I am more worried about the White Sox scoring a few more runs.
  15. QUOTE(Nokona @ Apr 10, 2005 -> 09:56 PM) This place is becoming illiniboard THEY ALL HATE US! ESPN DIDN't SAY OUR NAMES! JESUS DIDN'T LIKE US! Calm down guys, Just let our boys of summer prove it out there. I gotta agree. Let the White Sox do the talking. Who cares if ESPN talks about the White Sox or not? It's not like it is a big secret that there is an East Coast bias there.
  16. Since they have been illegal in the US, wouldn't that automatically make them illegal in baseball?
  17. Ow. Hope he heals (yeah, I know he's a Cub, but knee injuries suck).

    Sex in a Car

QUOTE(ChiSoxyGirl @ Apr 10, 2005 -> 12:07 PM) I'm 5'8"--and my motto is many things can be too small for sex. One of them being cars.... Try a Mercury Maurader X-100 from 1969 - I swear my queen sized bedroom set could fit back there lol.
  19. QUOTE(TheBigHurt35 @ Apr 10, 2005 -> 12:12 PM) Brian would do himself a favor by associating with people who understand the concept of friendship. Hanging around immature, self-absorbed deadbeats is bad for one's health. The "friend" called yesterday while I was babysitting and talked to Brian for about 2 hrs. The last thing Brian told him was the next guy he was asking to stand up to go that person's house instead of calling. Brian hasn't decided whether to stand up or not yet. I think he wants to back out, but doesn't know what to say - so that means he likely will be.
  20. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 08:18 PM) lol he reaches basicly on an error, gets to third base on another error, than reaches home on another error.... got to love that. When I got home from dropping my nephew off, Brian was telling me about that. What shocked me more was that he was listening to the Sox game while piddle-dicking around in the garage. Maybe my love of the Sox is wearing off on him...
  21. QUOTE(Texsox @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 02:26 PM) And then there is the whole NASCAR action with cars that have the back seats taken out for more room :rolly
