  3. QUOTE(mreye @ Apr 1, 2005 -> 09:01 AM) What was that? The tatoo parlor for kids 2-16. It had to be fake. It just sounded way too fake and Bird and Tanya didn't carry it off too well either.
  4. 97.9 April Fools Joke was very lame. I was shocked as many people fell for it that did.
  5. Anything Olympus. (I got mine 2 years ago for $140. They have some higher quality for around the $190 mark now though.)

  7. Report on yahoo. The Perdue chicken commercials crack me up, his son is really funny in them. RIP Frank.
  8. QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ Mar 31, 2005 -> 08:49 PM) Reportedly he has diverticulitis. Wtf has he been eating? That means little bits of food (generally seeds, nuts, anything like that) are getting caught in the folds of his stomach and causing the pain - my mom has that and she said it sucks.

Sounds exactly like the stages my grandfather went through before his death.

    This sucks...

My boss was just laid off. More than just a boss or a co-worker, I considered him a friend. We constantly vented to each other when the job got frustrating. lol He is cleaning his office out now and I don't know what to say to him. I am now reporting to a third boss in two years here. :banghead
  12. I left at a good time as it was "inbetween" storms. After I went through the 83rd street toll plaza, all hell broke loose - heavy rain, hail strong winds and lightening. I got home and no damage to me or the car so I was happy about that. We went to a wake last night in Homewood and when we left we were hit by round two, this time the Mustang was out in the storm. Luckily the hail didn't damage the Mustang. We had to pull over for a few minutes because we couldn't see a thing in front of us. Got home in one piece. Thank the Lord. There was a nasty wreck on I-294 last night when I was coming home from work (all I could see was a truck that was carrying new cars twisted into the ditch). Hope everyone involved in that was okay.
  13. I just read there was a tornado sighting in Joliet. I am in Rolling Meadows and will be heading home in about a half hour and it is pitch black out there with a good bit of fork lightening and a bit of thunder (more lightening though). This ride home should get interesting... :banghead
  14. QUOTE(3E8 @ Mar 30, 2005 -> 02:39 PM) Just joking in that he was brining us much luck today. lol - okay, for that reason I concur.
  15. QUOTE(3E8 @ Mar 30, 2005 -> 02:15 PM) Konerko solo HR! Farmer should replace DJ for good! I hope not - I can't stand Farmer in the least.
  16. QUOTE(Wong & Owens @ Mar 30, 2005 -> 11:28 AM) 21% of the people voting in the poll next to that article say it should be illegal to cohabitate if you're not married. 21% of the people voting in that poll are people I would like to run over in an Escalade. Brian and I would be committing a crime (we cohabitate and we luv it heehee).
  17. That's definitely the best way to go. Keeps all avenues open.
  18. I wouldn't tip my hand if I were you. But that comes from working for companies that are run by people who didn't think twice before doing things (not referring to my direct boss, but their bosses). Brian has seen the same thing at both his companies (people who were reliable and well liked made the mistake of mentioning talking to other companies to the wrong person were immediatly let go). But as previously stated, you know your company environment better than us.
  19. QUOTE(EvilJester99 @ Mar 29, 2005 -> 05:36 PM) When I was reading meters, I went to a house that 2 massive freaking Irish Wolf Hounds... these dogs are MASSIVE I tell you. Thankfully the owner was around those dogs would have killed me no problem.... I LOVE Irish Wolf Hounds (they are largest breed of dog, I think). I want one, but not enough room on a city lot to own a dog like that.
  20. QUOTE(Texsox @ Mar 29, 2005 -> 01:12 PM) Not certain why he would want a wedding ring like this to each his own, I guess . . . :finger
  21. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Mar 29, 2005 -> 12:42 PM) Where from, if you don't mind me asking? Ireland (and yes there are many ways to get here illegally from there - some of Brian's family got here that way around the time my dad got here)
  22. QUOTE(Texsox @ Mar 29, 2005 -> 12:36 PM) Why is LEGAL immigration treated differently between Canadians and Mexicans? Canadians are allowed easier and longer visits than Mexicans. I don't know what then regiment is today to become a legal resident, but my dad came to this country 10/1971. He had to wait 6 years before he could legally come here. Also, he had to have a sponsor and if that sponsor didn't show up (which happened to my dad, thankfully his other uncle picked him up), he would be sent back to restart the process.
