QUOTE(Iwritecode @ Mar 16, 2005 -> 01:06 PM) I could just about quote this entire movie... "It's Mega-Maid! She's gone from suck to blow!" Dark Helmet:Before you die there is something you should know about us, Lone Star. Lone Star: What? Dark Helmet: I am your father's brother's nephew's cousin's former roommate. Lone Star: What's that make us? Dark Helmet: Absolutely nothing! Which is what you are about to become. Those were a couple of my favorites from that movie.

QUOTE(Jabroni @ Mar 15, 2005 -> 03:15 PM) This pitcher can't find the plate. And I hope no one points it out to him. Let this be a learning experience for him . -
Cheat week: NASCAR suspends 3 chiefs
Queen Prawn replied to Goldmember's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
QUOTE(Goldmember @ Mar 15, 2005 -> 02:56 PM) weekly results: congrats on winning the week queenie... **CLUNK** (that was my jaw hitting the ground lol) I am glad NASCAR came down as hard as they did on the crews that cheated. If they didn't, I think you might see a postal Ricky Rudd and Wood Bros at Atlanta. You still might if they get knocked out after 20 laps again . Now that I have a victory, Jeff Burton needs to work on one for himself - then you would see me doing the happy dance of joy! -
QUOTE(Texsox @ Mar 14, 2005 -> 09:06 PM) Look closer they are Vishay (Dale). Geez, engineers That would make it Vishay Angstrohm! :finger

Looks like a couple Ohmite rheostat knobs on that thing.

QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Mar 14, 2005 -> 03:24 PM) Knives, martial arts weapons? Sure. We keep a hunting knife in our room for our anti-theft device. That and attack hamsters.

March 14 2005 Cubs vs Sox spring training game
Queen Prawn replied to southsider2k5's topic in 2005 Season in Review
The one spring training game I miss altogether had to be today's game. f***ing sales department. -
to the creaters for working in Electric Mayhem into the show. I was waiting for someone to do a parody of "Behind the Music" with the Electric Mayhem and they did an awesome job. Between the stuff with Janice, Dr Teeth being a piano teacher and having to put Animal down, it was near perfect. To top it off, having the "ken" dolls being the muscle that beat up Kermit for not making the rent on the theatre was great.

I can ask Brian tonight what he did - his dad gave him some money towards his downpayment (which Brian paid back fairly quickly).
-
Sounds like Brian and myself while watching NASCAR. Especially when Ricky gets knocked out within the first 20 laps...oops...that's been all three races so far this year.

QUOTE(CubKilla @ Mar 14, 2005 -> 10:37 AM) Furthermore, how do you know that the home opener is definitely going to be played on 04/04? It could rain/snow/sleet/tornado. It could, but all they would have to do is wait 15 minutes and check the weather again.

QUOTE(Steff @ Mar 14, 2005 -> 10:30 AM) I got them also QP.. the story is that she is the one that is loaded.. some greek princess or something. The mother that looks pissed is supposedly his mom. It doesn't look like the groom is all that happy either. If I show up like that, Brian isn't likely to stick around too long lol.

QUOTE(ChiSoxyGirl @ Mar 13, 2005 -> 10:05 PM) One of my friends e-mailed them to me. She got them from a lady at her work. We were sending those around a couple weeks ago. With two of us getting married this year, there were plenty of jokes flying around about those pictures.

Report: McGwire Linked to Steroids
Queen Prawn replied to Chisoxfn's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
QUOTE(The Critic @ Mar 13, 2005 -> 08:21 AM) Same situation as Thomas - Schilling has been outspoken against steroids in the past and IMO is being brought in to make the investigation seem more balanced, so it doesn't appear to be a "witch hunt". Exactly. Also, I think also in consideration is that he two of them have been very vocal about being against steroids which make it seem that they have some sort of knowledge of who was roiding. -
That was pretty cool!

QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Mar 12, 2005 -> 08:45 PM) Those were special times, weren't they? I was always wiped out going to school the next morning though! LOL! But it was always sooooo worth it. It didn't help that the good Doctor was a looooooooonnnnnnnggggggg show, and sometimes they would run a couple episodes together. School Monday mornings were quite painful cuz of that lol. That's why I loved summer Sunday nights .

QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Mar 12, 2005 -> 08:38 PM) Sunday nights, 10:30. Just after Monty Python and just before Dr. Who. The only great thing on TV on Sundays, and it was what I looked forward to most next to Creature Features and Son Of Svenghoolie. Sunday nights were my favorite TV night for a good while because of that line up!

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Mar 12, 2005 -> 09:23 AM) I hope not, that is almost too good for him. Now a US customs agent has been found murdered. Missing are his gun and badge, with suspicions this same SOB did it. They said they they found the customs agent truck in proximity of where they got him. FBI are preparing charges for the murder of the customer agent agents Nichols.

QUOTE(winodj @ Mar 11, 2005 -> 03:35 PM) I'm so missing that show. And he never revealed what happened to the missing half finger... My mom said she read somewhere when he was a kid it was blown off from a bomb or something like that. One of his on going jokes was that when he was a kid and they played cops and robbers, he was always the robber with the sawed off shotgun (or something like that is how the joke went).
-
Some of my favorite skits of his were his Pope jokes. One with the Pope water skiing and then the other where they were carrying the Pope around and they needed the "spare" and out comes a little guy from the "trunk" area of the chair.
-
That guy was hysterical! RIP Dave!

Happy bday!
