QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Feb 25, 2005 -> 11:25 AM) This movie is gonna be badass. Brian saw a trailer for it yesterday and said the same thing. It must have been decent because before he saw it, he didn't think he was going to see it and now he wants to see it when it comes out.

QUOTE(Al Lopez's Ghost @ Mar 11, 2005 -> 06:45 AM) One of those companies that makes miniature replicas of ballparks sent me a flyer this week, naturally enough, selling their new miniature U.S. Cellular field. All blue seats. I'm imagining a team of artists with little brushes, feverishly repainting all the tiny seats green. LOL!

That's horrible. I have a bad feeling there will be more victims before he is apprehended though.

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Mar 10, 2005 -> 04:22 PM) I'm not a Dr. but I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night. Diagnosis? A Shifted Uterus. LMAO! Does anyone have some paper towels or a dishrag so I can get the coffee off of my monitor? Just saw Tex's response...screw it, I need a new monitor and keyboard now lol!

QUOTE(mreye @ Mar 10, 2005 -> 01:57 PM) They're not allowed to take that into consideration. They are human and they can try to keep that out of mind as much as possible, but it will color how they see other things in the case. As they say on Law and Order, you can't unring a bell.

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Mar 10, 2005 -> 01:23 PM) That's wild, I know mine would have been ugly. I meant that the trooper was given an earful by the judge, not Brian lol. From what he told me about it, it was a wild ride. Not sure how he managed to walk away from it.

QUOTE(kapkomet @ Mar 10, 2005 -> 12:53 PM) The only slight, and I mean slight, glimmer is if the kid on the stand now (the actual accuser) can fire a missle in his testimony under cross-examiniation and I would say that the chances of that are slim to none. While I agree with you, one thing that is going through the jury's mind is Jackson's avoidance of court today with the accuser on the stand.

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Mar 10, 2005 -> 09:13 AM) The other was on the road, I was on the highway, doing probably 65 MPH. Suddenly the van I was following (and couldn't see around) quickly changes lanes and there is an abandoned car stopped in my lane, with no lights on. So now, I'm literally 30 feet behind it and still moving at 65 MPH. I turned the wheel hard to the left and barely missed a car in that lane. I had to pull over and chill out for a while. That happened to Brian - turned out the BMW that was sitting in the left (or center - can't remember what he told me) was stolen and ran out of gas. He didn't miss it though and was wearing no seatbelt. He walked away from it while his car he just finished didn't. The trooper tried to say he fell asleep at the wheel and the judge gave him an earful as none of the evidence provided showed that such a thing happened.

I was about 6 for mine. I snuck out of my backyard and went down the block with kids in the neighborhood to play in the hydrant. 6 yr old VS a fire hydrant - not good for the 6 yr old. I was thrown under a car and stuck there - never figured out how I got out. It was a good thing my friend's cousin noticed I was missing because he stopped traffic. Had he not done that both my legs would have been run over. I had 7 stitches in the back of my head and road burn on my knees, elbows and a few other areas.

What is it with everyone up everyone else's ass around here lately? Take a deep breath - it's only a message board. -

QUOTE(SoxFanForever @ Mar 9, 2005 -> 03:19 PM) Paulie boy goes yard! -
QUOTE(SoxFan562004 @ Mar 8, 2005 -> 09:57 PM) The foot issue probably won't be enough for him to avoid the subpoena, hopefully the swelling is just a side-effect and won't cause damage.... I hope Frank gives them hell!!! Probably not. Hopefully the docs can give him something to help ease it though. I went on a flight a few days after getting my braces and that was the strangest feeling. I remember some slight swelling in my knee (arthritis among other things), but it was fine after I was on the ground for a few hours.

QUOTE(3E8 @ Mar 8, 2005 -> 10:13 PM) where do you get your produce? I bought the pepper at Jewel that is on 123rd (or so) and Pulaski.
-
I cut into a green pepper to add to the stir fry I was making and when I looked closely to where the seed pod is connected to the top of the pepper, I noticed something moving. After dropping, I realized I had a green caterpillar crawling around inside my pepper. Pepper hit the trash instead of the stir fry. Sorry, I don't care how much protein could have been added by the caterpillar! :puke

I think ChiSoxyGirl mentioned doing that. I would have loved to study overseas (for me Germany or Ireland would have been my choice), but there was an option or money for this when/where I went to school.

SEC Uncovers Halliburton May Have Rigged Contracts
Queen Prawn replied to LowerCaseRepublican's topic in SLaM
QUOTE(TheBigHurt35 @ Mar 8, 2005 -> 04:43 PM) Unless KBR engaged in these illegal practices AFTER being purchased by Haliburton, there's no legal basis for holding Haliburton responsible. And what makes you think that Haliburton could've uncovered any evidence of bid rigging? I realize that you dislike Cheney but, come on. Let's be reasonable. Any company that is "buying" or "mergering" does a great deal of investigative work to uncover any "loose threads" in regards to said company on the block. You would be surprised at how much investigating a company does into another company that they are looking to buy or merger with - at least the ones that I have seen happen. -
QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Mar 8, 2005 -> 01:10 PM) A cyclone is the Pacific equivalent of an Atlantic hurricane. A typhoon is a tropical cyclone specifically on the Philippines or China Sea. "Rock you like a cyclone!" ... no doesn't sound quite right... "Rock you like a typhoon!" ... no, still doesn't sound quite right... "Rock you like a hurricane!" ... AHHHHHHHHHHH that's the ticket! My favorite kind of Cyclone:

Just out of curiosity, if a Republican was doing what Joe is doing, how would the Rrepublicans of this board feel?
-
It's a hurricane, not a twister, right?

Since she is a "b****" does that make the dead man an asshole or a bastard or both?

Lung collapses suck (or so I've been told). for Mr Clinton.

Seems like someone in the Ulster Brigrade wrote that.

I like Keanu. Glad to see him in a few flicks (even if I have to wait until they hit DVD lol).
