QUOTE(Texsox @ Mar 2, 2005 -> 10:04 AM) Wow, Nuke and Queen adopted a pet together LMAO! I just saw this. I wonder why the poor thing has lost fur on its arms and legs though.

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Mar 3, 2005 -> 03:45 PM) Jim -- I personally am listening to the game on AM 1000, but I'd like to compliment you on the PBP you've been doing the past two days. Awesome job, as always... Ditto to that! -
QUOTE(Steff @ Mar 3, 2005 -> 02:37 PM) QP.. 294 is a mess a mile or so before the 55 exit. Plan on it being a long ride tonight. I'm gonna take 88 to 355. Luckily I go to the Bally's by work so I don't leave the Rolling Meadows area until around 7:30. I warned Brian to take Lagrange all the way home as it might have an effect of the tri-state. It might be closed at the Burlington Northern for track repairs, but he'll get through it quicker than I-294. Thanks for the heads up though - I will be aware of it tonight just in case.

I had a weird feeling the roads have been too calm the last few weeks (ie no big wrecks). for all involved.

Buying all 30 NHL teams for $3.5 billion?
Queen Prawn replied to IlliniKrush's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Mar 3, 2005 -> 12:50 PM) The same people that watch in Atlanta and Carolina. Not in NC, but I watch/listen/follow Carolina Hurricanes hockey. It's too bad that our vacation to Raliegh was cancelled two years ago - we had intended to go to a couple Hurricanes' hockey games as well as a Wolfpack football game. -

QUOTE(EvilJester99 @ Mar 3, 2005 -> 08:31 AM) Do you think they would take a check?? C'mon, you know they want it in small, unmarked bills! -
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Mar 2, 2005 -> 04:21 PM) I do the church parking, you're able to get out very quickly. I use the one that is on the west side of the viaduct on the north side of 35th. I avoid the expressway and take Pershing to Western and then Western to 115th.

It has to be used today, right? No good for me as I won't have time to stop for a scoop.

QUOTE(TLAK @ Mar 2, 2005 -> 06:43 AM) Yasny's so old his Math ACT was XXVIII. LMAO!

QUOTE(winninguglyin83 @ Mar 2, 2005 -> 12:23 PM) Joe Cowley at the Daily Southtown still seems like the best info guy to me. He hasn't been at spring training because I believe he wrote a story during the winter saying he was sick. But I hope he's feeling better and will be ready to go this season. He has cancer. The way it spread brought down the survival rate according to his article. I, too, hope he feels better and is beating it.

QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Mar 2, 2005 -> 11:01 AM) First post of this thread has a link to the Colorado game feed... There's no coverage in Chicago. It's an audio thing, right? I can't at work as there is no sound card on my work puter...now with my home puter I could broadcast it for the neighborhood lol.

QUOTE(Leonard Zelig @ Mar 2, 2005 -> 10:48 AM) Sox site says 2 o'clock central is this right? Is there any way to follow this online or will anyone be doing PBP? I don't have a sound card on the puter here at work.

QUOTE(winodj @ Mar 1, 2005 -> 04:21 PM) If you think that's great try Hardee's Son of Sandwich! Quick killer bites of the best beef east of the Mississippi! LMAO!

QUOTE(kapkomet @ Mar 1, 2005 -> 02:39 PM) That's what I'm talking about. Real jelly beans in generic packaging. Damn straight! Those suckers in real Jelly Belly packaging are not cheap - but oh so worth it!

Happy bday!

I just did the free yearly credit report and my credit was better than I thought - so I did a happy dance around my cube. 769 Annual free credit report page Then I found out that my boss bought generic jelly bellies (real jelly bellies in generic packaging). He showed me were he hides them so I can steal them when I need a handful or two.

QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Mar 1, 2005 -> 09:06 AM) I don't know about most of you but I hadn't heard of BTK until he got the media push the last month or so. You kinda have to wonder, egomaniac that the guy is trying to get attention, that he seems to feel sort of cheated. I mean if he did this in LA or NYC, he'd be all over the news and be a huge name a la the Nightstalker, Ted Bundy and the rest of the sociopaths. I hadn't heard of him either.

Brian and I have been seriously considering getting a dog. We plan on going to the pound or an animal welfare society to pick one out.

QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Feb 28, 2005 -> 02:59 PM) a rejected Buger King Sandwich. When this was coming across the wires the other day - that was the first thing I was thinking when I saw his "name."

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Feb 28, 2005 -> 01:21 PM) Really? Wow. The combination of flavors sounds :puke to me. I was shocked as well.

QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Feb 28, 2005 -> 01:16 PM) That's the Muppet Song right? But that Dr. Pepper flavor sounds nasty. Diet cherry vanilla :puke Brian and I have been trying to figure out which Muppet song that is (or what skit it is from)? It sounds like Rowlf singing, but I can't place it. Anyone know? It's been driving me nutz. Whenever I see that commercial, I end up "singing" the damn thing for days on end. I tried the diet cherry vanilla this weekend on the way home from a road trip and I was shocked...I really liked it.

QUOTE(KipWellsFan @ Feb 28, 2005 -> 09:37 AM) I'm kind of embarassed to say I haven't seen one of the 5 that were nominated for Best Picture. But I did see Hotel Rwanda and a bunch of the other nominees. Neither have I. I did want to see Finding Neverland though. I just haven't had time to get to the theater in a long while. Plus being $10 a ticket (or just about), we have a hard time handing $20 over to see a flick that we can see for about $4-6 a few months later. When we do find a movie he and I want to see, we can't seem to find the time to go.
