Here Comes Terrible Ivan...
The plant in Barbados was hit, but haven't heard yet if there was any (or how much damage).

Travel Tips
When I traveled from Chicago to San Diego in May, I didn't have to take my shoes off... I guess I don't look threatening.

About church
I went to church every week (and then some) growing up. I stopped going when I was 16 or 17. The only time I go now is for weddings and funerals. I have thought about going back from time to time, and probably will once I have kids (start them out with it and let them make their choice about going when they get older).

Zero-tolerance policy overridden in S. burbs
I was picked on quite a bit in grammar school, but never once thought about bringing a gun (or any other kind of weapon) to school to harm the bullies. That's where the teachers and PARENTS/GUARDIAN of this child have failed. The answer to someone picking on you is not to go out and get a gun to do damage (sometimes fatal). Another consequence I am sure this child (nor obviously his guardian) did not think of is that he could end up hurt someone that has nothing to do with his problem. Maybe gramma should be more worried about why this kid thinks shooting someone is an answer to be bullyied.

MUPPETS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :headbang :headbang "I am not a shrimp, I AM A KING PRAWN!!!" - Pepe (QP's favorite muppet's tag line)- Greetings from under Frances!
Hang in there! Looks like the barbados (the company I work for has a plant there) is getting hit sometime tomorrow by Ivan. Prayers and thoughts to all involved in both storms.- Happy Birthday HoosierSox!
Happy Bday to both of you!- You get what you deserve
Being engaged to a reformed street racer, I can tell you there are tons of locations were street racing happens on Friday/Saturday/Sunday (those are only the days that I was told about, I know it does happen other days of the week, just not sure where). He raced in areas that were mostly desolate. Archer (where he was caught, but got out of it with just a noise violation because the other guy didn't show up - that's all it took to get him to stop street racing, thank God) is the only place were there was regular traffic that they street raced somewhat regularly. As for the original post, Brainage and I were headed to central Michigan to look at a Cyclone and it was raining pretty good so we were only going about 50 mph on I-94. Out of nowhere this guy in a beat up white chevy passed us easily doing between 80 and 100 mph. Lo and behold, about 5 miles up the Michigan state police caught him.- Post your Desktop
My signature is my desktop background currently. At work I have a Jeff Burton background someone at the JB forums made and at home we rotate between car pics we've either taken or download and hamster pics that I have taken.- Hurricane Ivan forms in central Atlantic
The company I work for has a plant in Barbados. I read about Ivan last week. I hope Joe and the other guys and gals in the plant will be okay (40 or so people on staff at that plant - good people who do great work - very little returns on items made there).- First Car
My first car was a 1986 (Blue) Chevy Malibu station wagon I inherited from my grandpa. Next I had a 1990 Hyundai Excel which I would still have if that b**** didn't hit it (my dad was driving) and knock into a tree which sheered the tranny - of course the b**** had no insurance and all I had was liability. It was her second wreck in three days at that intersection - she refused to obey the stop sign. Next was my 1998 Hyundai Tiburon (nice car, but hated the redesigns). Next is my current car (that is almost paid off - crossing fingers) - 2002 Mercury Cougar Sport Coupe. My dream car is a 60s Mercury Comet (either the Comet Cyclone, Comet Caliente or Comet Capri) or a 60s Ford Fairlane.- Last Letter First Letter

It depends on who they were polling and honest the people were being when answering the polls. I can't say I ever put much stock into political polls.- Take the quiz!
