DBAHO
Seattle's coming to town. Wonder if Reed will play. Has anyone heard if athe M's brought him up? From the Seattle Times today, The Mariners are expected to promote several players from Tacoma soon — OF Greg Dobbs, P Aaron Taylor and OF Jeremy Reed, a nonroster player who would be added to the 40-man roster for promotion. In order to make room, a disabled player would be moved to the 60-day disabled list, which does not count against the 40-man roster.

Gonna be tough to root against a hometown guy, but I WILL IF I HAVE TO!!! ooooooh yooooooou..... I can't cheer against him. I went to grammar school with him. He was a good guy (a bit of a class clown, but a good kid) then, got into some trouble late teen years and still managed to get where he is. Go BOBBY! winninguglyin83
That's all Borchard needs -- three games in his home park with everybody looking at him and looking at Reed and wondering how in the hell KW could tell anybody Borchard, not Reed, was untouchable. Ouch.

That's him -- he's 27 and played in the Northern League last season.

Not sure about that, but he's an Oak Lawn kid. From his picture on whitesox.com I couldn't really get a handle on his nationality. He's had some fairly serious arm problems and came through them to make it to The Show, so much credit to him for that!

soxman352000
Go Reed! Show up KW!!! Should have tried to give them Borch instead, but they are just to smart
Chisoxfn
Reed was hitting I think .273 down with Tacoma so its not like he's been lighting things up. I'm starting to think the Sox may of been wise dealing him. However, I still like the fact that he does all the little things. I think all Sox fans appreciate those type of players considering the Sox have so few of them at the major league level.
santo=dorf
Should have tried to give them Borch instead, but they are just to smart They wanted Crede, not Reed. What makes you think they would've taken Borchard instead?
qwerty
They wanted Crede, not Reed. What makes you think they would've taken Borchard instead? There were reports that the mariners wanted borchard, but kw mentioned reed and they jumped at it.
SoxAce
There were reports that the mariners wanted borchard, but kw mentioned reed and they jumped at it. Reed was the center piece in that whole deal. Eigher it was Reed/Olivo or Olivo/Crede. That's it.
Wise Master Buehrle
Reed was the center piece in that whole deal. Eigher it was Reed/Olivo or Olivo/Crede. That's it. We chose CREDE over REED!? Ack! :fyou

SoxAce
We chose CREDE over REED!? Ack! :fyou KW did not want to send 2 regulars downthere. So, he gave them our best prospect. It was when we were still in the race as well. I'm satisfied with Freddy, even though the loss of Reed might really hurt us.
