Yeah, I don't see what the big deal would be with a 1 year, $3 mill deal. Don't even need to add an option on to it. He'd be great if it were a last resort type of thing.

The Sox won 8 straight at one point in April, and they won 9 straight in June, and nearly made it 10 but Iguchi's grand slam in the 9th was not quite enough. And that 9 game winning streak was the first 9 game winning streak since 1977(who some fondly recall as the South Side Hitmen)

That is the season in a nutshell. Something pretty much has to be done about that. There's nothing more that can be said I don't mind a team that hits home runs, but that is just ridiculous

His average may end up dipping a little in doing so, but overall he'll be a better hitter. Also, I don't care too much that Crede's OBP is less than Podsednik's. To go back to rudimentary baseball, Joe's getting paid to drive in runs. Podsednik is getting paid to score runs. Therefore, Crede's got an exception, due to his high average and slugging. Podsednik's pisspoor OBP is not acceptable. Obviously you'd like to see Crede get on base more, but him drawing walks is what's separating him from being a #3 hitter and being a #6/7 hitter.
