  1. QUOTE(BridgeportHeather @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 02:12 AM) Now, come on...You DO remember that Guido has access to handcuffs and a gun. And you think that is stopping Maury?
  2. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 02:15 AM) Awww, come on man. That was one of the positives to Jose. You didn't like it? Well, chicks dig the Valenstache. I am countering your .216 point. I love the stache. It is hawt.
  3. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 02:00 AM) .216 AVG. That's all that needs to be said. Porn-stache. That, too, is all that needs to be said.
  4. QUOTE(knightni @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 02:07 AM) So, then, they would have to pitch... Hermanson on Sunday if Garland can't pitch today and is still sick on Sunday? Certainly they wouldn't pitch Freddy on 3 days rest this early. Starter by committee perhaps Hermanson for 3 or 4...5 if we're lucky...Cotts for 2-3...then the rest of the pen.
  5. QUOTE(BridgeportHeather @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 02:03 AM) Maury has TONS of issues, I'll say...But Guido says he'll be good this time...We'll hafta see about that! I am doubting it
  6. QUOTE(qwerty @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 12:58 AM) Hpsjrawhgikohjmio,k'wqk yhksdSGl;ml;dSGMPEKKGDSKEFEFXAFKDSFACFXMCXZCXDZFGHFZDGFHDZDFGH :finger T T UT :finger :finger :finger finger :finger :headshake EXPLAINS THE LAST TWO f***ING DAYS OF MY LIFE CANNOT POSSIBLY GET ANY s***TIER. I feel for you man.
  7. QUOTE(YASNY @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 01:17 AM) And may the Brew Crew stay that way for a few more days. That'd be cool by me
  8. QUOTE(BridgeportHeather @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 01:12 AM) I'll be pulling my bedroom TV into my office so that I can listen and watch the game at the same time, cuz there's no way I'm moving the 27" TV I have in the front room into here. It's great to have SNR back after a year's absence! Oh no, now Maury is probably getting excited.
  9. QUOTE(knightni @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 01:21 AM) Don't forget WOOOHOOO!!! and w00t! And why the f*** did we get rid of this guy? (kidding, settle down folks)
  10. QUOTE(knightni @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 01:20 AM) I watched Baseball Tonight AND SportsCenter and never saw any Sox/Twins highlights (or even a score). Did I miss something, or did they not have any highlights to show? I didnt see Sox highlights on the BBTN on the trifecter AND WHY IN THE f*** AM I USING A DICKIE V TERM?! :banghead
  11. QUOTE(rangercal @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 01:44 AM) you cant compare bulls Iceman to spurs Iceman He was not nearly as good...but you can't say that he was not a decent player.
  12. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2004 @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 01:35 AM) George Gervin was way past his prime by the time he got to the Bulls. And he was only there for one season. Gervin was, yes, but he still averaged 16 points a game, which is pretty solid for a player that was like 59 years old. Green also put up 13.5 PPG and 8.6 RPG that year too...which is not horrible at all. Cleveland doesnt have much more than that either. They have like 1 more rebounder then Chicago did that year, but that is about it. There seems to be more parity in the Eastern Conference this year then there was back in 85-86. 5 teams finished the season over .500 in 85-86...Cleveland is barely clinging on to a playoff spot at 1 game over.
  13. QUOTE(YASNY @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 01:34 AM) Actually, Jose's defense seemed to improve when Robbie Alomar was playing beside him. NO, JOSE MADE ROBBIE LOOK GOOD! (hugs Jose doll)
  14. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2004 @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 01:28 AM) Mj had Oakley and? That's about it. George Gervin is only a hall of famer
  15. QUOTE(rangercal @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 01:23 AM) Thats what I mean about hype. Im sick of it. He has not accomplished much more than say... amare stoudamire. Lebron will earn most of the hype I believe. But not all of it. Not all of it as in he will be the best player ever? Like I said...I have never been under that impression...but I do agree with that...right now of course. I could also say that Albert Pujols will be the best hitter of our generation...and he very well could be, and may very well be...but I can't say that as a matter of fact just yet.
  16. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2004 @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 01:19 AM) Jordan played in 18 games that year. Lebron is definitely not overhyped, but he's got to take some of the responsiblity for a horrible collapse by the Cavs. No reason in hell this team shouldn't be in the playoffs, I wonder will he pull a b**** move and demand to be traded? You can also put some of the blame on Paxson and the rest of the front office. Firing Silas when it was working? Not getting a deal done at the deadline? He can accept some of the blame for it, but he is not entirely at fault. It's not his fault that he has a s***ty team around him. He is not a player/GM like Kobe.
  17. QUOTE(rangercal @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 01:17 AM) Lebron is going to be the best player in nba hype= ok Lebron is God, Lebron is going to be the best of all time = over hype I have never been under the impression ever that LeBron is going to be the best of all time...not even from analysts that love the hell out of him. You can't predict s*** this early in his career, and even Stephen A Smith can tell you that, except that he is still probably talking about how the Lakers are going to win the 03-04 NBA Championship.
  18. QUOTE(YASNY @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 01:15 AM) Useless. That sums it up nicely. Kills time. Fills a column. It's almost like me speculating on the Sox roster for 07 or 08. It is about impossible.
  19. QUOTE(rangercal @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 01:04 AM) Jordan never missed the Playoffs. And yet suddenly that makes LeBron a bad player and not Jordan-esque because? The Cavs won 35 games last year, in LeBron's first year out of high school, and it was almost all because of his prescence. The year before, without LeBron, they won 17. The more than doubled their win total in their first year with LeBron. All this, and LeBron still can't legally drink. It is not hype. He is one of the best players in the NBA, and he is 20. Where are the Cavs without LeBron? One of the worst teams in the league at the very least.
  20. QUOTE(YASNY @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 12:47 AM) He started the 3rd game of the year for two reasons: 1. He's been good at home and against Cleveland. 2: El Duque is a much better road & big game pitcher. It certainly wasn't because Ozzie considered him our number 3 starter. Not saying you implied that, by any means, but several people have. Just more things to add. It was a strategic move by Ozzie...and it has paid off very well thus far. We could very easily be 4-0 right now(though we really should still be 3-1, just having won and lost different games).
  21. QUOTE(YASNY @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 12:42 AM) I doubt that. I believe they'd trade him before sending him down. He's done nothing to play himself out of the majors. Well now you're just talking crazy Seriously though, I don't really mind Timo - he is clutch, whatever that is worth - but clutch does not mean a thing if you can't produce otherwise, you're a 4th/5th OFer, and you are getting paid $1 mill. That's about the only thing I have against Timo.
  22. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 12:01 AM) I really hope Garland feels better tomorrow. Buerhle pitching is alright tomorrow because of the normal rest, then Garland going on Sunday wouldn't be terrible in my opinion. But what I don't want to see is the rotation go Buerhle, Garland, Garcia. So hopefully they'd fix it on their next day off. The order of the rotation is not a huge deal. Jose Contreras started out the year in the 3rd spot in the rotation; he is not our 3rd best starter. Some may argue he is not our 4th best starter, or even our 5th best starter...hell, there are arguments that he is not out 6th best starter. But that point is moot. He started the 3rd game of the year and will likely stay there until he is demoted/traded/injured.
  23. Seems to me Cordero got roughed up the other day too for Texas. And Lyon got pwn3d by Jose tonight too.
  24. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Apr 8, 2005 -> 10:54 PM) Ok so we now know that Duque and Contreras can produce. That;s a really good sign and should go a little ways toward calming our concerns about em. Honestly, we don't know s*** about Contreras yet, except that he is Cuban, he has nasty stuff, and he pitches for the Sox. I still envision him to be inconsistent as hell...but if he can turn it around, that would be sweet. Great win though anyways...I love it. Get to Radke early tomorrow, and hope Jon can hold down the fort.
  25. f***in work...I will not be able to listen to the show. If there were any chance the show could be recorded, I would almost think about giving my right nut(cuz everyone gives their left nut) if you guys could, because I would like to listen to it. Preeeeeease? :sadpuppylook
