  1. QUOTE(sox-r-us @ Apr 11, 2005 -> 04:11 PM) So we should not do anything about it.....ok You would rather have him not work through it and hit .175 in May?
  2. QUOTE(sox-r-us @ Apr 11, 2005 -> 03:54 PM) We could have been 6-1 or 7-0 without the tinkering Are you somehow suggesting you are not happy with the Sox being in first place?
  3. Rowand is a career .175 batter in April. His struggles are not to be unexpected.
  4. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 11, 2005 -> 11:17 AM) It would have been cost prohibitive to bring him back. We had to offer him arbit after he made something like $9 million the year prior, or not be able to talk to him. LOL, well that would make sense as to why KW said no then. I do recall that Boomer did want to come back, because he had pitched so poorly for us. I also recall saying he liked Chicago and that the White Sox were one of a few teams he would not mind pitching for.
  5. QUOTE(T R U @ Apr 11, 2005 -> 11:08 AM) Theres no way in hell Dallas drafts Brown at that pick... They need a LB's and DE's, Merriman would be an EXCELLENT pick to kick that off with their first, and then a DT or LB with the next DeMarcus Ware or Travis Johnson... Ware and Merriman are two of the tweeners (OLB, DE) and would probably give Dallas some very good options with their defense.. I hate Dallas so much, so I hope this doesnt happen, BUT, Josh Bullocks in round 2 would be an excellent pick for them... he is a ball hawking FS and with him and Roy back there... s***, thats deadly wtf, me and Tru both hate Dallas?
  6. QUOTE(chi-guy2 @ Apr 11, 2005 -> 09:53 AM) hes on my fantasy team, he will start improving No
  7. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Apr 10, 2005 -> 10:14 PM) I believe he said, " Because he doesn't play for Boston or New York, "when asked why Buehrle is relatively unknown outside Chicago. Ozzie is difficult to understand, so I may be wrong. That's what I recalled hearing too
  8. Then again, maybe he meant a great race for 2nd place?
  9. I dont want to go off on it again. Yeah, f*** Reynolds, but seriously...this should make us happy, and should light a fire under the Sox ass. We'll see come June and July who the contenders are. Cleveland will fall out of the race due to a lack of starting pitching, and Detroit will for the same reasons. And Minnesota may be in for a rough ride too without a real good 5th starter for 2-3 months. We are the most overall complete team in the division, with quite a bit of depth all over. I am not worried at all. I still feel that the only team that I have seen play that really scares me a lot is New York...and even they have weaknesses.
  10. I don't care that it worked. A career .692 OPS should never hit that high in the order, unless it is leadoff or 2nd and his OBP is in the .350-.360 range.
  11. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Apr 10, 2005 -> 05:08 PM) Exactly, doesn't wanna tinker with s***. Wants everyone to know where they will be batting every day. Which makes no sense when you have Timo Perez hitting 5th for you. Seriously, what the f*** was he thinking?
  12. Um...f*** the Twins and beat the s*** out of them tonight?
  13. Trying to be the opposite of Jerry Manuel I assume.
  14. Wow Completely unbelieveable. I'm not catholic, but what the f***?
  15. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Apr 10, 2005 -> 12:58 PM) I'm still mad about him calling out Frank when he didn't know the severity of the injury, then injuring himself. He just didn't want to be here. IIRC, KW was the one who did not want him back. Boomer did want to come back, because he pitched like complete s*** for us and wanted to redeem himself.
  16. I think they will take Dan Cody with the current board.
  17. Probably one of my favorites in the draft...but I am not sure how much he will do at the next level. He has all kinds of ability, and if he can figure s*** out, he could be one of the biggest sleepers in the draft.
  18. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Apr 10, 2005 -> 12:41 AM) I dunno, we kinda acquired Pods' girlfriend at the same time. I'd call that sexy...... I want to say something smart and witty right here, but all I have are these two fingers :finger You are right though...Dergan = hawwwwt
  19. Sox are 4-1, FYI And I love this team. I loved it in February, I loved it in March, I love it now...I have loved in constantly, and I said a ton not to worry about what writers said because the Sox made absolutely no 'sexy' moves whatsoever, and that they should not pay attention to anything the media says. What is scary is that I think they can keep this up, and that when Frank gets back, there will be that much more depth in the lineup. When he gets back, this team will be very, very scary.
  20. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 11:54 PM) Sorry mods, wrong boards please move for me will ya Not a problem And I laugh at the Red Sox. Their rotation is scary-bad. Even when Schilling gets back, it is Schilling-Wells-Clement-Arroyo-Wake/Miller...it is deep and all, but it is not something I want going into the playoffs. To be quite honest, I prefer the Sox rotation over the Red Sox rotation...in a heartbeat...without thinking about age or anything else.
  21. QUOTE(YASNY @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 02:25 AM) I think they'd pitch Freddie on 3 days rest. They could do that too, but I would not like that much. I would cry
  22. QUOTE(BridgeportHeather @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 02:34 AM) Ahhh, c'mon now...NOONE is more STUDLY than Ron Karkovice!!!!! Kark = god
  23. QUOTE(knightni @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 02:19 AM) HAWT - click me wite! I have probably seen worse, so here goes EDIT:
