  2. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Sep 27, 2007 -> 03:13 AM) That is the strangest kind of puking I've ever seen. She's totally fine just before and immediately after. She gets a nauseous look about her like 5 seconds before she spews. Puts her hand on her back to try and keep herself steady. And then she has like 20 seconds or so to recover...that'd be easy enough.

QUOTE(kapkomet @ Oct 2, 2007 -> 02:34 PM) Now we know why you make zero sense when talking baseball, or is that when you're sober? Probably both.
  4. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Oct 2, 2007 -> 04:03 PM) Nope. Wow. Boras asking $20 mill per over 7? That's crazy. Still, that didn't say anything about arbitration, and Boras clients have done this before, with Millwood coming to mind initially. He was coming off a solid year with Philly, wanted to test the market and get a long-term deal, didn't find anything, and came back at $11 mill. He stunk, no arb from Philly, won the ERA crown with Cleveland, and then struck it rich. And if Atlanta doesn't offer him arbitration, I'd be surprised (though it would be understandable as to why they wouldn't).
  5. QUOTE(29andPoplar @ Oct 2, 2007 -> 03:08 PM) Yes, I just went and checked the stats myself after seeing that comment. I believe Richar will improve, he did some good things. He might know how to get on base, problem is he didn't do it enough. I don't see Owens or Richar as leadoff hitter in '08, call it a hunch but I think they'll go in another direction. So, 2 parter 1) do you see Owens and/or Richar starting next year? 2) do you see the leadoff hitter being a shortstop?
  6. I got me and then 7 GOP in a row, all in the 54-63% range. Romney led it.
  7. QUOTE(BearSox @ Oct 2, 2007 -> 06:07 AM) my reasoning behind this is a) he still has talent and b.) the Braves aren't gonna be bringing back Andrew Jones. says who? The Braves are offering him arbitration, and I imagine that's a given. If so, I wouldn't be surprised in the least to see him brought back by Atlanta next year, because it'll be hard even for Scott Boras to get Jones as big a deal as Hunter on name alone, and I'd bet that's who they are shooting for contract wise.

QUOTE(Reddy @ Oct 2, 2007 -> 11:56 AM) my favorite thread ever! i'm in math class and i started reading this and then laughed out loud... not good... lol although right now i have a streak of drinking every night since last wednesday - it's the DRINK FOR A WEEK STRAIGHT CHALLENGE!!! maybe more... thing is I just turned 21 a week and a half ago so i figure i'm entitled. But now i totally wanna drunk post on here cuz it looks fun I do it, but I talk baseball. It's fun stuff.
  9. QUOTE(BobDylan @ Oct 2, 2007 -> 12:24 PM) Vodka was bestowed upon us by the gods. It's a fantastic drink. That and whiskey are the only I can handle straight. But, I shall say, and perhaps I'm bragging, that I've never chucked up hard liquor. My body rejects beer, praises the hard stuff. By the way, a whiskey and coke is the tastiest drink in the world. I feel sorry for the suckers who drink rum and coke. Vodka I think turns me into a mad Russian. I drink it, and then I just go crazy, and I just keep drinking it all night long until I either pass out or black out. And once I get passed the first drink, everything just goes down smooth sailing. I once drank some vodka, blacked out, and the next day saw a video of me like monkey slapping one of my friends across the back of his head. Whiskey I'm not as big a fan of, mainly because I rarely drink it (shame on me...my dad pretty much swears by Lord Calvert, but I can't stand that) though I did just recently have a SoCo Coke and then I had a little Jack the other day too. Both were delicious. We drank some rum the other night. It's flavorful, but I'm pretty sure it has eaten the pit of my stomach away. And then there is tequila, which I swear I will not touch until I turn 21. I drank some one night, went to sleep, and woke up in my own vomit. Can't stand the stuff.
  10. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Oct 2, 2007 -> 12:40 PM) That would actually make sense for both sides, if the Mets had another SS option. That's one guy who makes the Mets better no matter who they give up, and that's the talent level the Twinkies need to get back for him. Mets can sign Eckstein then! Seriously though, I wonder if, hypothetically, they would then have enough to acquire Furcal. They'd be absolutely raping their future, but in the short-term they'd have to be the favorite in the NL.
  11. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Oct 2, 2007 -> 09:46 AM) Lopez can't turn a DP. He is awful defensively. Not a good hitter either. I'd rather keep Uribe to be quite honest.
  12. And by Frank, I meant Jose NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO :crying
  13. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Oct 2, 2007 -> 10:44 AM) Wite, I am not sure if your new sig is more or less distrubing than pancakes-for-nipples man. LOL, I was actually waiting for someone to say that
  14. QUOTE(GoSox05 @ Oct 2, 2007 -> 08:52 AM) If were gonna be making goofy trades, I'd much rather have Hanley Ramirez. That's the one who is absolutely, positively going absolutely no where.
  15. it was definitely getting kind of creepy Those things were like summer sausages drilled into his chest
  16. Mother Russia loves me, as I do not recall ever puking off of vodka. However, like literally every other kind of booze has made me ride the porcelain roller coaster.
  17. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2007 @ Oct 2, 2007 -> 02:35 AM) Wite, Reyes is the closest thing to prime Rickey Henderson we've seen in the modern era. He's filthy good. Isn't he only 23? I can't see the Mets ever trading him. I'm not sure Rickey will ever resurface. But if you are comparing one of the elite shortstops in the league to Rickey, it's Hanley, not Reyes. Reyes is very good, but I think he's more name than game. Hanley's the exact opposite, as he was way, way better than Reyes this season and it seems not many knew about it.
  18. QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Oct 1, 2007 -> 10:28 PM) Patiots two leading rushers both Texas Techies, I'm sorry I just had to. On a whim, I picked up Sammy Morris this week because Steven Jackson was out and I didn't trust Ahman Green to play. I was hoping merely for a touchdown. Let's just say I love Sammy Morris. Didn't really matter though, as the guy I faced put up 44 points. Ronnie Brown and Morris put up 44 on their own for me. Pretty much dominated him. /end fantasy talk
  19. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2007 @ Oct 2, 2007 -> 02:21 AM) Would the Bulls have delt Michael Jordan? I don't think the Cardinals are dealing Pujols any time soon. Mainly, comparing Michael Jordan to Jose Reyes is apples and oranges. I'll say don't rule it out. I'll also say that I really doubt it's in the Sox best interests at this point to even inquire about him. It'll take something centered around Vazquez and a prospect, or it involves dealing something like Gio, DLS, and Carter (possibly a bit exaggerated, but something around that). Both are bad for the Sox; I don't see any way they'll wish to retain Garland, nor do I think that's a smart long-term plan with a knot in his shoulder, and thus, would probably have 2, maybe 3 or even 4 holes in the rotation going into '09. And if the Sox want any type of future, trading prospects now is dumb as hell. (BTW, thanks for the props on the sig in the other thread...my idea, Steve's creation. It's pretty awesome)
  20. QUOTE(WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Oct 2, 2007 -> 12:22 AM) Who is the "retarded vagina"? http://www.retardedvagina.com
  21. If I ever found out Miguel Olivo did PED's, I'd probably lose faith in all humanity. (and by Miguel Olivo, I obviously mean Timo) (and by Timo, I quite obviously mean Frank; and I wouldn't lose faith in humanity, I'd just really lose a lot of interest in baseball and would probably be a bit shaken up for a little while. That'd be hard seeing my childhood baseball idol turn into a cheater.) (and Bonds isn't nor has he ever been my idol, I just realize he's a ridiculously good baseball player that I'd love to have on my team)
  22. Giuliani, Romney, and then a tie between McCain and Gilmore.
  23. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Oct 1, 2007 -> 10:05 PM) Carter is one of the Sox 5 best prospects and one of the better power prospects in the game (note I said power prospects as I'm not calling him one of the better prospects in baseball, although this time next year he may just be exactly that). I will go ahead and take credit for the breakthrough. He had to have found his inspiration from somewhere.
  24. QUOTE(BearSox @ Oct 1, 2007 -> 11:30 PM) a bag of baseballs? I do not wish that to be the case, as Atlanta has a history of absolutely raping teams when giving up a bag of baseballs.
  25. QUOTE(WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Oct 2, 2007 -> 12:01 AM) And the Phils will sweep the Rockies. Even if it's just an opinion, I don't see any way that's happening. The Rockies are playing ridiculous baseball right now, they are getting (and making their own) breaks right now, and the pitching staffs have to be considered pretty equal right now. The Phillies offense is assuredly better, but it's not like the Rockies offense sucks. Personally, as much as I love them, I think way too much credit is being given to the Phillies right now.
