I think what happened is Cashman wanted to keep Colon out of Boston so KW went along and took El Duque off Cashmans hands so he could get Colon and Cashman could keep Colon out of the East. Cashman denies this but hes lyin. I know Cashman didnt want Colon in Boston...

He didnt make a good trade or a decent trade. He made a cunning Billy Beane trade! And then he signed one guy and is about to sign another to make up for the little that we did give up. This is a great day in White Sox history.

Yes he did and I think he deserves some congratulations. So instead of talking about the Yanks who got worked, why not talk about the Sox who worked them? Kenny deserves a pat on the back!

That is a bit of a bothersome tidbit though. Seems that if he hasn't made it yet he might be destined for a utility role? For now tho, this deal is great just because we got Bartolo!

First getting Colon and Nunez, a good high level IF prospect, for a couple of guys who had no real future with us or potential. Then he goes and signs Rios and Gordon, whos physical is pending. Rios wont be starting in our outfield but hes a great backup and if Gordon recovers hell be devastating in the pen. KWs suddenly transformed into Billy Beane! Whoa! Our rivals in the ALC are probably going nuts right now...

Vazquez Garland Dempster Wright/Rauch 2B - Jiminez SS - Valentin DH - Thomas RF - Maggs 1B - Konerko LF - Dunn 3B - Crede CF - Rowand/Borchard C - Olivo We would be unbeatable. Nah. First off, even tho Bartolo weighs about as much as horse, hes still a better pitcher than Dempster and Id say Dunn and Lee are about equal but even if they arent Bartolo is a great pitcher and we shouldnt trade him for a pitcher whos easily weaker. If we get Bartolo and Vasquez, keep em. Wed have: MB Bartolo Vasquez Garland Rauch I say we can get em for Stewart, Borchard, Ginter and two prospects. Thats a totally reasonable deal...

Well, I kinda think that Crede should be on the best rookies list before Olivo. I dont think Olivo or Borchard will have much of an impact this year but we all know Crede will. Hey, atleast he included Crede on the breakout seasons list, which I think is pretty cool...

I remember one game against the Tribe but I cant remember what year. We were down like 6-0 at the middle of the first and I left thinking unfortunately that they would be slaughtered. I ended up giving in and going back to the TV and watched them get a 13-6 lead at the end of the second. I think they won like 19-11 in the end. I also remember a game in 2000 where we slaughtered Seattle 19-3, that was real cool. But in a thread highlighting our teams greatest comebacks in recent history, I must make sure that we all remember that awesome Sox-Scrubs game. That was the best. And Joe Credes multihomerun job in the 9th in tenth innings to give us that dramatic win over Toronto...

Im telling you, it was 6-2 when we came back. We scored 2 runs in the eighth, 3 in the ninth, they scored one in the ninth and we scored 4 in the 10th. They mighta scored one in the tenth but Im not sure. Ya know, maybe were thinking of different games. What was the final score of the game youre thinking of? Mine was 11-7. Well, since its Sunday morning we already know two of the winners but Ill make my predictions for today. Me and three of my friends put five bucks each in a pool and we each chose a team (this was one week ago so there were eight teams left, I chose the Raiders, they each chose the Bucs, Jets and 49ers). If one of the selected teams wins its chooser takes home all twenty bucks but if one of the noneselected teams wins everybody gets their money back. So two of us will be eliminated today. Im saying todays winners will be Oakland and SF.
