  1. You can't have Jimenez on the field. Even the announcers can see he's not running comfortably and that every base runner is going to take the extra base.
  2. Better get to Shaw because the odds against Clase are slim and none. And we have nobody to pitch the 8the and 9th anyway.
  3. Fire Tony chants...Cleveland radio team asserting it's not his fault lol. Another astounding Guardians comeback. Fans are now furious it seems.
  4. Well there's pretty much no way they win this with Clase looking. Doesn't matter they have Colorado Oakland KC and Detroit the next 19. Will getting swept four in a row at home and Larissa getting booed off the field make any difference?
  5. Must be nice to have the luxury of Pilkington in AAA with a 4.24 big league era in almost ten starts...
  6. White Sox: They’re winning the division. You might not consider it a vindication for Tony La Russa, but he’ll probably still take it that way. The White Sox are getting healthy, playing better lately and have, by one measure, the easiest schedule remaining in the American League. It has been a rough first half, but the first half is over. They have 38 games against teams with losing records, including 27 against the wretched A’s, Royals and Tigers. You’re not getting rid of the White Sox that easily, folks
  7. https://www.si.com/mlb/guardians/opinion/is-there-some-hostility-growing-between-the-guardians-and-white-sox “Last night, three Guardians players were hit by pitches from the Chicago White Sox. The first two against Andres Gimenez and Steven Kwan seemed to get brushed off. But by the time All-Star Jose Ramirez took one, Tito seemed to have had enough. This may not be an isolated event though. These teams seem to have some bad blood growing between one another dating all the way back to the beginning of last year.” Of course, there was the Eaton slide into Andres Gimenez in 2021 (see video embedded in story)…last night’s HBP of Abreu and Jimenez…Naylor’s emotional theatrics, etc.
  8. Sox getting a gift. Pilkington is schedule for Game 2. normally would be Plesac or Civale, although Cy has been pretty darned bad this year.
  9. https://www.cnn.com/2022/07/22/us/bo-jackson-uvalde-funeral-expenses/index.html To the tune of $170,000...
  10. Rendon's fail/injury status a big reason. Not enough pitching and Thor going all Giolito with his stuff. Justin Upton deal. KW must be on verge of move with Mariners throwing in towel.
  11. That doesn’t even account for Pollock and Giolito’s slide into irrelevance/oblivion.
  12. Let’s wait and see the Game 1 score from tmrw first. Guardians suddenly only 1 1/2 behind Twins again after falling all the way to 4.5 GB. High water mark was 36-28 after coming back against Minny on June 22nd, 1 game up on the Twins for the division. In fact, that was the only day so far this entire season they were leading.
  13. Boston -5, White Sox -20 RS/RA After a -17 swing for Boston vs. Chicago tonight. At least the fans will have a memory decades from now. 8-2, pretty much forgotten a month from now.
  14. Is that now 3-8 on the season against CLE? JR is happy at least. 31,379 in attendance. 19-26 at home.
  15. He's fine for football and especially basketball with the faster pace of play where there's not nearly so much dead airtime to fill. He tries way too hard to compensate when the games are not entertaining enough in and of themselves.
  16. What is Richard Simmons up to these days? Still alive? That's gotta be a minimum qualification. Well, perhaps not...Tony Robbins? Deepak Chopra?
  17. Trading Jason Benetti for Benintendi so we don't have to hear that corny joke anymore. Sox fans love Rex Hudler.
  18. That's Merrifield pretty sure...did Benintendi also go anti-vaxx? I guess there were ten out. And Sox never have won consistently in Rogers Center since it was built anyway.
