6/10 White Sox vs Texas Rangers, 7:10
Just need 1.5-2.0 fWAR guys with our pitching staff...

Guess Rangers' crew had wrong info. As he pitched yesterday as well...or the night before.

Definitely no Bacon Beckham. Would definitely switch teams until he was jettisoned if that's the case.

Or are exiled to Granada after undergoing a cacophonous chorus of boos...

Lopez is supposed to pitch just one inning...although TLR will probably extend him now. Current Rangers 1/21 against him.

**Movies that we Watch** Thread
"Hustle" with Sandler as a Jerry Krause like scout/asst coach, TWolves' Edwards as the trash talking villain and Huancho Hernangomez a much better watch than the Sox...

I truly think Jerry will make TLR step down after yesterday
Some buzz on social media that Ron shouldn't be able to start a thread with the same title for the remainder of the season...or even try the Part II/Version II trick.

We are picking up the Bumgarner contract off a dead cat bounce? Can’t wait. He checks all the boxes, NL guy, can probably hit better than 60% of Sox regulars, LHPer to replace Keuchel, was/is connected to the DBacks organization, doesn’t have any tolerance for TA7 showboating so a natural TLR ally.

TLR 2022 Thread
If that was the case, there wouldn’t already be about 1,000 articles and social media posts about it. It’s not like the team’s play is particularly compelling without TA7 and Luis Robert slumping.

Or Burger at second...poor Lewis is having a Klay Thompson-esque run of injury luck. Or Shaun Livingston. Casey Mize the next TJ victim…

We use PHers? Less than any team in baseball.

It was entirely because of the fact it has happened only three times in modern baseball history that there was an intentional walk after an 0-2/1-2 count. More batters have been walked intentionally with the bases loaded to force in a run, including Maddon most famously and the Barry Bonds in 1998 one. The same manager in Maddon who's recently unemployed.

Good judgment is a result of experience. Experience is a result of bad judgment. So when do we see a benefit from those six decades around the game?

Next four months…keys to survival that won’t cost as much
LH reliever...one more starting pitcher, etc.

Chester? That I'll happily agree with.

Why are the sox so unlucky with veteran additions?
Suzuki this year for example. Or Kwan.

You might be the only person in the contiguous 50 states still standing up for him.

Hardly their problem this year…except it’s almost all negative publicity. Minus the TA7 “feel good” homer against NY.

Can’t get enough of this conversation and the “two strikes guy” in the background.

I mean how many times do the Sox do things that have never even been done once in MLB history? Sox LHBers against RHP. Hitting with bases loaded has to be close to bottom for 1/3rd of a season. First or only intentional walk in decades with two strikes on a hitter. Leading the Majors in CNN non baseball related stories since hiring. Most embarrassed fans since Bevington. Most questionable leadoff hitters with Ops numbers under 600 and even 500. Most obvious lack of awareness about rules changes such as extra inning ghost runners...see Hendriks debacle. Least PHers used in history. Most bullpen changes. Most money ever spent on said bullpen west of NYC. Top Five or Three for oldest managers. Have to look that one up. Third. Mack 87, McKeon 80. LaRussa 78. Stengel 74. Etc.

This doesn't seem like it will earn 21 laugh emojis in one fell swoop, but, then again...some bold "fire" emojis perhaps.

No knowledgeable Sox fans believed Sheets was more than a platoon hitter, at best...with limited defensive options. The White Sox just don't have that type of success with non first round draft picks...until they move on to other organizations like a Semien or Luis Gonzalez, although Gonzo will eventually come back down to earth. Plus, the idea of trading him left pretty much no LH hitting candidates, since Hahn whiffed on addressing that need the entire offseason. Or he put all his eggs in the Conforto and not Joc Pederson basket. Unlikely they were ever really in on him, though.

Sounds more like Espada. But then those kind of moves are inpracticalities when most candidates are on other contending teams right now.

Pretty much no way to field a lineup without four bad hitters and whatever Mendick is...unfortunately.

Yep they have ReyLo at mlb.com Pollock Vaughn Robert Abreu Burger (DH) Moncada (3B) Grandal Harrison Mendick No Leury against a RHP. Pollock hitting first is going to be the biggest question mark. Burger off the field after yesterday.
