Twins officially announcing they are the division favorites hitting five homers against Cole/Yankees so far while LaRussa/Turner-Muncy Gate blooms almost simultaneously.

Did Sousa speak to the media??? Now that would be truly interesting to see how he negotiated that minefield...

Who is Changing Plans? Attending Less Games
Out on an island with Texsox on this one...well the kinder and friendlier version before the last 2-3 weeks at least. Haha. In general, you have to find other players or teams to admire at points like this because the Sox would drive nearly anyone to drink as a defense mechanism. By the way, what's your theory about the Moncada and Grandal cliff dives?

Russia over Ukraine? With the historical treatment of ethnic/religious minority groups to consider...maybe someone should just feed him that randomly in a postgame to see if he will bite. Abortion rights? Automatic weapons legislation? Fidel Castro already wiped out Ozzie and Bernie Sanders...probably won't fall for that, might give some Jose Canseco anecdotes though.

TLR 2022 Thread
To:rhahn@chisox.com Cc:kwilliams@chisox.com Fri, Jun 10 at 7:20 AM Today’s game ?♂️ And I actually thought about playing hooky to go. Sure glad I didn’t. Might’ve charged the Sox dugout and got myself arrested. ??

6/9 GT: LAD @ Sox 1:10pm (Cease vs. Anderson)
Except Grandal and Sheets can't hit. That only leaves Burger Abreu Vaughn Jimenez. Pollock not far from DH based on his defensive struggles this year. Btw Zack Collins is back for TOR and hit his 4th homer, average hovering around .200ish.

Weekend at Bernie's II...starring TLR.

6/9 GT: LAD @ Sox 1:10pm (Cease vs. Anderson)
Well, he did it twice because Moncada would have charged that Turner ball...that's really his one exceptional skill defensively, throwing on the run across his body with some giddy up behind it.

6/9 GT: LAD @ Sox 1:10pm (Cease vs. Anderson)
They are not going to recover from this setback very easily...this season just feels like it's slowly getting away from them. Knock out Anderson...inexplicably score 4 and you pretty much think the game's in the bag with Cease on the mound and dealing.

Foster seems a little bit worn down from back to back...and short recovery time day game after a night game.

If they don't pull this game out, it might go down as one of those handful of season tone changing ones like the Naylor game.

We have drug problems on this team too? Or overconsumption of soda? Maybe it's the yoga that is getting in his head too much...

6/9 GT: LAD @ Sox 1:10pm (Cease vs. Anderson)
Seems like a Dodgers home game based on the crowd noise on the radio. Yikes. One bad inning facilitated by Burger, misplays. Starting to roll instead of snap off speed stuff. Pitch count way elevated. Third time through the lineup.

6/9 GT: LAD @ Sox 1:10pm (Cease vs. Anderson)
Burger has to come in on that one more aggressively with Turner running. Just giving more bases away...could be trailing with another base hit. And the entire game getting away with the Sox.

Konerko's "Big Slump" of 2002-2003
If the analogy is more about Moncada and less Grandal, sure...but there's just no way to know right now if it's just age or general wear and tear catching up with a mid 30s catcher. There were a lot of questions about his health...Konerko that is...his supposedly debilitating hip condition from his time with the minors.
