Can’t say that this weekend...

DBacks on verge of setting a new daily record, 24 consecutive road losses. On pace for 45-117, record is still 120, the Tigers or early 60’s Mets. Feels like an Escobar/Reddick/A.Cabrera trade is coming...

A trick someone taught me in the Philippines, dump two regular sized M&M’s into a large buttered popcorn, makes it so much better. Haven’t had those raisins in a couple of years, much harder to find in China...have to go to a specialty candy shop.

Sbarro? Little Caesar’s?

Out 2-3 weeks...

They’re claiming Southpaw brought the popcorn to them but it was a Covid protocols infraction since too many shared from it.

They might want to relegate the Diamondbacks to the now non-existent PCL. Or Pecos League.

In the Quad Cities, there used to be an old guy named The Road Runner who got paid by the team for every foul ball he took away from kids and gave back to the coaching staff. He was a real villain that everyone could boo, and cheer for the young kids when they beat him to a ball. Needless to say, hard to cover a whole minor league stadium in your sixties except on weeknights and day games that were not free ticket giveaways to school groups.

Greg is more obsessive about concession prices (why not go after airports and movie theatres as well) than Ron with Abreu/tobacco, Poppy with Madrigal or Parkman with Giolito.

Maloney just listed nearly the entire roster, capital offense?

The way everyone was talking, though he had another leg injury somehow...

Montero former closer...has struggled mightily.

Might need to look at Matt Reynolds for 2B. Most likely, though, a trade has to be put together...when Hahn’s not throwing laundry baskets around at home. Burger or Yermin at third? Lamb? We’ll probably get more Leury, or Carlos Sanchez.

I would take an 825-850 ops, but that’s not going to happen without more homers. Feel like 2019 around 920 ops is likely going to be his peak. Maybe things will change with TA7/Jimenez/Robert/Abreu all going off around him. Feels like that’s a LONG ways off, and who knows what the starting pitching will look like by then.

Cubs won’t do that. Moncada too mentally fragile for position change again. Be better off with Bryant at second, lol.

The Great Tease.

Well, we could be 3-33 in last 36. Yikes. More of TLR legacy. 11-11 after Bumgarner no no, 10-44 since.

That he was going to be an in season savior just like Sale in 2010...easier to draft one than pay or trade for one? Same thing drafting guys like Ring and Poreda. Should have looked more carefully at his brother’s history.

Why does it seem every time we have a huge (well, larger) home crowd or national t.v. audience we invariably wet the bed?

They really need to do a serious assessment of what’s wrong with Abreu and whether Robert can come back at anywhere near 90%. The Indians’ injuries won’t allow a White Flag season, nor can or should it, but it seems they’re just going to have to be satisfied with hopefully making the playoffs and then getting some reinforcements for 2022-23 simply by spending money, since trade capital is slim and none.

Escobar just struck out, .241 and 16 homers.

Sounds like 2016...minus one month, the Texas debacle and desperation trades from a non-contender that everyone could see but the front office. Sure, the starting pitching will keep us in it, along with CLE injuries, but the bullpen and defense provide pretty much zero confidence other than Hendriks and hopefully Bummer is coming around.

No joy in Mudville tonight.

Now we get beat by a former Indians 1B/DH who was so bad at hitting they gave up on him... At least Twins decided to contest their series with CLE.
