  1. Renteria claiming he wasn’t trying to walk the batter...can we be so sure, lol? Realmuto PHing, someone from the coaching staff needs to check the available bench there...anyone awake?
  2. More lowlights from the Eloy Jimenez on defense 2019 film...
  3. The one manager everyone expects would play the same style..but at least Moncada, Anderson and Madrigal would be tutored/mentored into Gold Glove-quality fielders, like he did with Alexei.
  4. Somehow, that’s sadder than anything Thad Bosley writes..they’re really just a very average team this year.
  5. I don't understand why would play for a tie game on the road in the late innings in the first place...it’s that unwritten baseball rule, like never making first or third out at 3B.
  6. Was he safe? Already used challenge? Renteria trying to keep the Phillies in the Wild Card hunt come hell or high water...
  7. Only the White Sox could put down a great bunt and the runner is still out...Phillies’ announcers chiding White Sox for over-bunting and making that play too predictable, lol.
  8. And there it is... Btw, look at Aaron SANCHEZ line tonight... 6 2 0 0 0 2 6
  9. We’re due for another “1/2” a hit the next three innings...
  10. https://www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx?playerid=15172&position=SS FG would argue that Anderson has significantly improved on the defensive side...which is strange, because it seems his offense has been the stronger side overall.
  11. On the other hand, Candelario has really regressed at the big league level.
  12. Goins and Jay hitting 2 and 4 tonight? Just wow. 45 year old Bobby Abreu would be a better option than half our hitters...just was enshrined in the Phillies’ Hall of Fame, 2470 career hits.
  13. Velasquez certainly wasn’t in LF...or an aging Zach Greinke, who has an 883 ops in roughly 50 at bats this season.
  14. https://www.fangraphs.com/graphs.aspx?playerid=16137&position=P&pitchgraphs=true&statArr=&legend=1&split=base&time=daily&start=2017&end=2019&rtype=mult&gt1=15&dStatArray=FA&ymin=&ymax=
  15. https://www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx?playerid=13338&position=C His offense has improve for three consecutive years and defense has worsened...that said, there’s no guarantee McCann will even be a 1.5 fWAR catcher when he was net negative his four prior seasons in Detroit, or that Colome can sustain this level of success.
  16. Rodon’s velocity was down noticeably...that was after the shoulder injury.
  17. Nothing is a piece of cake for the White Six this decade...that’s like the kiss of death.
  18. If Glasnow and Snell were both healthy they would have had a good shot at the WC...looks like near misses two consecutive years. Not so easy on fans when you do everything perfectly almost and then still have to deal with NY and Boston’s unlimited resources.
  19. That’s not so easy to pull off when he’s been buried in Medellin for 26 years...
  20. He got hurt running to first...? Not another Achilles like Burger...hamstring, knee or ankle?
  21. Abreu e Lima Central Church https://www.joinmychurch.com/churches/Abreu-e-Lima-Central-Abreu-e-Lima-Pernambuco-Brazil/297642
  22. Well, Fulmer and Ruiz pitched well. 5th time Phillies eventually lost when they were just a strike away from ending the game. Killed by those two innings leaving the bases loaded. Timmy and Eloy got some hits...desperately needed that not to go 4-17 since the All Star Break. Entertaining ending, but punch for PHA.
  23. Haseley has to pitch next...two way All American at UVA
  24. You can’t expect a pitcher can just go out there and easily throw someone out from 300-325 feet...
  25. Both of Abreu’s big hits tonight came on 77 and 75 mph pitches.... Velasquez is having an incredible performance out there.
