Uh-oh....cue debate about accuracy of Forbes' numbers.

I personally prefer Daron Aronofsky and Werner Herzog, but that's just me. Aronofsky had that huge misfire about the Spanish exploration in the New World...w/ Hugh Jackman and I think Rachel Weisz, a bit reminiscent of The New World in terms of its feel and scope/aspirations. Have you seen DUEL, Steven Spielberg's first film with Dennis Weaver and a semi truck and unseen driver? You were right about GREEN ROOM. Midnight Special was pretty good, not sure it being in a Top 10 is a testament to that movie or how few good movies have been released yet so far this year. Obviously, most of the critical/dramatic favorites will hit from Thanksgiving onwards. It had its moments. I also have more and more appreciation for Joel Edgerton's range every time I see him in a movie.

Greg, did Alton from Midnight Special just mesmerize you with a blinding white light? Coats/Shuck/Garcia deserve scorn before any is aimed at Lawrie. He's been pretty decent. He's definitely not the primary reason we're not above a .500 club.

They could have milk products from Wisconsin, Australia/NZ, Argentina, etc., they're REALLY going to have Chinese suspect/often tainted "milk powder-derived" drinks? C'mon!!!

And China is worse than even Europe in terms of anti-black/African prejudice. It's malicious. And they mostly think it's funny or innocuous.

Is relentless really the correct word there, lol? Surprised DA didn't also mention the Royals blowing two saves against the Cardinals and still prevailing at Busch. Resilient would be better.

Congrats to Rick Hahn for providing Robin Ventura one of the worst bullpens (minus the back end of Jones and Robertson) in recent Sox memory...at least back to 2007. 2014, if you want to go there...but nothing was expected of that team, at all.

Reminiscent of the infamous Jose Paniagua game against the Twins in 2003. (That was the last game that particular season we beat them, if memory serves correctly.) I really thought former Sox prospect Escobar (who kills us usually) was going to drill a line drive just barely over the fence and tie it up...well, just because we lived through the same or similar outcomes in Texas and against the Royals that three game set with 3 blown leads, including the HUGE lead in the 9th. Actually, pretty sure 90% of Sox fans had already moved on to other things and were shocked to see how close it came to actually being a tie game there in the 9th despite a 9-1 lead.

Yeah, not sure where Coats/Davidson would get playing time with Abreu at DH. There's no way either one can get into an offensive rhythm without playing 4-5 times per week minimum. We already know what we have with Avi and Shuck, there's no remaining mystery there. Need to send Coats back down and let him play everyday again. At any rate, as long as Saladino can hold his own offensively (low 700+ OPS), that defensively alignment in the infield is probably our best one.

Projected Top 10 Prospects Post Draft/Pre July 2
caulfield12 replied to ChiSoxJon's topic in FutureSox Board
As far as Engel goes, it would be nice to see him put up an OPS challenging 800 in AAA. At the major league level, right now....he's more similar to Jackson stats-wise, but more reminiscent of Eaton in terms of physical tools. In most organizations, that would be a 4th outfielder. As long as he can have a respectable OBP, though (let's say 315-325), he could make it as a regular. More confident in him than May, tbh. -
QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jun 29, 2016 -> 07:44 PM) Better option then Avi or not? If we had another outfielder (Jackson or trade) to replace Avi, Saladino at 3rd, Frazier at 1st and Abreu at DH would be workable. Obviously, Tyler didn't quite cut it last year at 3rd, but he seems much more comfortable/confident this year. Like he fits in more and feels like he belongs at this level, instead of trying to prove himself every time out. Of course, that arrangement would also block Morneau (eventually). As a way to get through the next week with Melky out, it's as good as anything, I suppose.
