  1. Looks like Treinen might have restored some of Roberts' lost confidence in him...LA pretty lucky it ended up a ground rule double on the Bauers ball over Pages.
  2. Getting too conservative...that said, two more plays to get 5.
  3. Loading the bases intentionally hasn't worked that well this postseason.
  4. What the hell are the baserunners supposed to do there when it wasn't even clear if it was a catch or not? Crazy play.
  5. McDougal the only one from that list that stands out...two guys recovering from major injuries.
  6. Yeah can immediately plug in Caissie to replace Tucker in RF and Alcantara to use in trade...Ballesteros has some unique skills. Getting Horton and Steele back for that rotation as well.
  7. ND/local and regional marketing lol. Ed Farmer was happy, at least.
  8. Need another QB whisperer to work with Ward. Not nearly enough skill position talent there with Ridley C.Okonkwo and Pollard surrounding him.
  9. Tomlin leaving the Steelers would be the wild one. Most are focusing on Cignetti and Matt Rhule, a PSU alum and rebuilder of programs.
  10. Jays in all kinds of trouble now. Polanco >>> Josh Rojas
  11. Murakami might have fallen from $300 to the $225-250 million range, having been injured for most of 2025.
  12. How shocking is it going to be? We were already 29th. All they have to do is go lower than the Marlins... Alcantara E.Cabrera and Bender around $23 million. Nick Fortes, Braxton Garrett and Jesús Sánchez only others between $1.5-2 million. The White Sox obviously have Robert and Benintendi...that's around $35 million or whatever.
  13. "However, it seems that Vaughn isn’t ready to give up on his big league dreams just yet. He has come surging back in September, comfortably leading all bats in the lineup with a 196 wRC+ for the month. He’s making a very strong case to be not just a part of the postseason roster but one of the core offensive pillars. Unpacking his offensive contributions over this span is even more interesting. His aforementioned slump saw him lose a lot of his pop at the plate, at least on paper. He slugged just .375 over that span, partly due to bad luck and partly due to opposing pitchers becoming wise to his antics. Now, he has become less reliant on the long ball and is more than willing to simply put the ball in play as long as it becomes a hit of some sort. He still hasn’t hit a home run since August 15th, but has instead slashed .444/.475/.583 with five doubles so far this month." brewerfanatic.com “I blacked out.I felt like I was on the clouds just trying to make sure I hit every base,” said Vaughn, who called it the biggest swing of his life. Andrew Vaughn becomes third Cal Golden Bear with multiple postseason homers... Marcus Semien: Has four home runs in postseason play, including two in the Rangers’ 2023 World Series win over the Arizona Diamondbacks. Semien has 122 at-bats in 26 postseason games. https://www.si.com/college/cal/other-sports/ex-cal-star-andrew-vaughn-delivers-again-for-the-brewers-01k7ck6gq83d
  14. Any opinions on "One Battle After Another" or "Orwell 2+2=5"???
  15. Without 5/6 defensive backs. Another starter Joseph was at 75% at best. The Chiefs will look different with Rashee Rice next week.
  16. Just like he thrives as a supporting player on the field, his presence also helped strenghten the theme of this Andy McCullough article about the Brewers' shorter-than-average roster: The White Sox have fielded their share of height-challenged players even before the Brewers made it cool, although their exploits tended to validate Randy Newman's lyrics with lesser outcomes ranging from "Dominic Fletcher hitting one homer in 72 games" to "Vaughn's White Sox career" to "Andrew Benintendi's White Sox career to date." (Don’t forget Chase Meidroth, Nishida and Bergolla…) Now that the White Sox are actively emulating Milwaukee in hopes of maximizing their talent, I wouldn't expect that to change. For instance, it's not hard to read about Caleb Durbin ... https://soxmachine.com/2025/10/spare-parts-andrew-vaughn-milwaukee-brewers-stretch-further-into-october
  17. Of course, lost in all this in the fact that Golden Spikes winners and Top 5-10 first round draft picks are never selected to be "complementary" or "glue pieces," but that's exactly what Vaughn, Gordon Beckham and Nick Madrigal all turned out to be, essentially. The other irony here is that in the "Average Joes/Andrews" lineup of the Brewers...he's still quite an important piece after Chourio/Yelich/Contreras.
  18. https://www.southsidesox.com/chicago-white-sox-commentary-and-analysis/117379/andrew-vaughn-was-never-going-to-be-king-in-chicago "Even Erick Fedde saw a change in Vaughn from their time as teammates in Chicago and now in Milwaukee with his role being changed. This is what Fedde told Kyle Williams of the Chicago Sun-Times: I mean, if the White Sox could fix Miguel Vargas’ swing, maybe they could have fixed Vaughn’s swing issues like the Brewers did. Instead, as (reporter) Williams pointed out, Vaughn likely needed to go to a team that did not need him to be an impact bat, just a supporting one. Being unable to handle the spotlight was why Andrew Vaughn was never going to be the king in Chicago. Instead, he is thriving just being a piece in a lineup playing for a National League pennant, and disappointing Chicago in the process."

  20. Go M's...Polanco a key contributor throughout these playoffs.
  21. Wilson isn't important enough to cost anyone's job...

  23. https://medium.com/@jenn.livingston97/dave-stewart-fired-as-gm-of-the-diamond-backs-c50ceb1d6388 Took AZ just two years to fire TLR...after "cleaning house" and making some controversial moves that backfired. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2281764-yasmani-tomas-signing-a-bold-first-move-for-d-backs-larissa-stewart-duncan-era Blew more money on bad Cuban contracts than even Marco Paddy. Here's another wasted deal https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yoan_López Also, Shelby Miller for Ender Inciarte/Dansby Swanson didn't work out very well either.
