  1. Rojas has decent numbers so far but Brandon Marsh has been really bad... Rojas always a complementary type of role player. PCA with seven homers at this point a total shock to all but most die hard Cubs' fans.
  2. 189/662 Trade talk starting to become much more viable again. MLB stolen base leader and 5 homers now. Extension lol? If we had a decent owner...Crochet and Robert in his prime would be actual building blocks.
  3. Yamamoto so far over Sasaki for By Young votes not on the bingo card...
  4. Cannon battling tonight ... pretty fortunate with babip. Astros 1/10 risp isn't going to hold against then pen.
  5. Lol at Vargas throw attempt. Just put it in your pocket.
  6. Part of that is poor lineup bottoms often hitting twice...from Vaughn through 9th.
  7. Sosa doesn't really have speed, a high obp, just occasional power and then bad defensively, lower baseball IQ. Limited fundamentals/execution ability. Terrible pitch selection/too many wild swings and just plain guess hitting. No bueno.
  8. Rojas not off to a sizzling start at Charlotte...but just get Amaya off the roster. Addition by subtraction.
  9. Brian Anderson tales are more fun. Or Uribe.
  10. Robert no prayer on that one...playing a bit shallow.
  11. Seems a veteran pitcher would be getting more of these 50/50 calls.
  12. Bill Walton minus the liquored up part.
  13. Feels like another week or two...on a contender like Burger with Rangers would already be optioned.
  14. And that's without Clase and Cam Smith being the two best relievers in the AL last year.
  15. .500ish in one run games then the Sox are 11-20 or 12-19. More like a 60-102 team than 41-121. Small steps. But Guardians are second place in the division with similar RS/RA numbers.
  16. Just bad enough to lose a lot. Not horrific like last year...and that was with Crochet and Fedde.
  17. Not often scoring late hasn't helped either...compared to their proclivity for scoring early in those first three innings. Part of that is the relative dominance of most big league bullpens with wipeout stuff.
  18. Meidroth is just so much much of a winning ballplayer than Sosa. Will never be Pedroia...they just need solid/stable/predictable at this point. Someone who doesn't beat himself...but makes the opponent beat him.
  19. About the same height as Craig Grebeck Sox 1-8 in one run games thanks bullpen and defense, hitting with risp
  20. We've got measurables/analytics now.
  21. Tim Anderson second in the AL in oaa to Pena a bit unexpected...
