Let's see....Konerko, Humber, Jeff Gray and probably Sergio Santos did better than expected. Maybe Crain. You can argue either way about about Alexei (his defense has definitely taken a step backwards, and hitting with RISP), AJ, Quentin and Sale. The rest of the roster has underachieved dramatically. Anyone watching or following this team all season wouldn't argue that Ozzie's done a good job. The last 3 games offer about 50 examples of poor fundamentals alone. And Ozzie wonders why they are so poor? JESUS.

And yet, for a myriad of reasons, we've never brought anything close to a superstar Hispanic player in the prime of his career to the Sox during Ozzie's reign of terror. Heck, if we just took Victor Martinez for less money than Dunn, we'd still probably be leading the AL Central.

Does that make me anti-white or a member of the Michigan Malcolm X Militia or Green Tea Party? Willie McGee is still (far and away) the most popular Cardinal of the last 30 years and I consider that region of the country to be more racist than Chicago.

Crazy, Stupid Love is almost an excellent film. (Also the tagline for all White Sox fans this year following this team on a daily basis...) Not getting a lot of pub, but Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling, Emma Stone and Julianne Moore are perfectly cast. At first it took me time to adjust to the idea of Julianne Moore in a mainstream romantic comedy like this, but she fit right in. Couldn't recommend it enough. Gosling is becoming one of the most versatile actors of his generation. He'd done dark, romantic fluff and this, which was a little bit of the Frank TJ Mackey Tom Cruise character from Magnolia but with a redeeming virtue. Carell wasn't quite as good as in Little Miss Sunshine, but he blows away his more "dark" performance in Life of Dan. Can't wait to see him in IDES OF MARCH with Clooney and Philip Seymour Hoffman. Also want to see the Ryan Reynolds/Jason Bateman movie where they "switch" lives....might be decent.

Except who was Quentin going to be sold to, exactly? Thornton's overpaid for a set-up guy unless you're the Yankees paying R. Soriano $10+ million per appearance. That leaves trading Danks/Floyd/Buehrle. And Trading Danks or Buehrle really would have set off a fan rebellion/boycott. If they want to sell any season tickets next year...the worst they can do is trade one out of Quentin/Floyd/Danks and/or simply not resigning Mark. Two or more of those guys are gone, it's clearly a rebuilding season whether they like it or not. That will be the perception. And we'll be 25th in MLB attendance or worse, since our tickets across the board are priced 3rd or 4th highest in the majors.
