Yes, it's not exactly going to be a Game 163 environment in CLE, thankfully. Fans will still be recovering from the latest Browns' debacle, not to mention Ohio State's implosion.

He has WBWF's resume presumably. Ray Ray has disappeared...must be taking a board mental health break.

They couldn't have known Mune was going to go into the tank. He was forecasted to hit 750-775 and then make major adjustments for his second season. Or that Peters' second half would lead the team, along with Meidroth/Grichuk. Nobody had Vargas in the Top Ten for MVP votes. But starting pitching is really the main area pretty much every knomwledgeable fan knew it was going to be a struggle and it was a focus all off season long...and it's still 100% an issue, just confidently naming a G1/2 for the post season. Relievers patchworked together might be the approach they have to resort to there as well.

He's made JR 35-40% more revenue this season...so there's definitely that to consider. Outside of the literary references. (And One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest with Mike Shirley.) Better than The Bell Jar of 2023-25!!!

Then they don't have as much of a farm system as you thought. https://www.espn.com/mlb/player/gamelog/_/id/32175/robbie-ray Team is 3-4 over his 7 SD starts and an EXPIRING contract and that is 100x better than being stuck with him next year. Nobody would lay their starts/appearances down next to each other and choose Castillo head to head. But we can also compare Mason Adams to Doyle, too. That's even more one sides since Adams is 1/50th the cost in a more difficult pitching environment.

So your normal time frame for being "competitive" (3-7 games over .500) in the AL Central is actually 4-5 seasons and not three to show major progress...keeping in mind Chris GEtz was also at least partially responsible for putting them in that position in the first place? Baseball has proven time and time again that flying near the top and sustaining it like the Brewers and Rays (Astros and Padres too) is much much difficult than what the Baltimore Orioles, Royals/Tigers or 2019-21 White Sox accomplished. Not to mention Houston is still fired their GM Brown and likely manager Joe Espada too will go in a matter of weeks.

"Some people just get too comfortable and say whatever the hell they want to anyone. What an idiot and I’m glad he’s gone..." reddit There we have that almost lifetime loyalty thing again we witnessed with Hahn, KW, David Bell for many years, Nick Hostetler, Fabian, Jim Thome...until some people just get too entitled and feel almost untouchable in their various domains.

Angels: SS Arjun Nimmala (top prospect) OF Eddie Micheletti Jr. RHP Angel Rivero Why were the ONLY choices Detmer and Holmes? For example, would this above-highlighted return have killed the farm system for Jose Soriano, much younger, with an explosive FB and under contract TWO more years? Mahle went to the Braves for very little...there's yet another choice. Robbie Ray didn't cost a king's ransom, for example. They had the 30th ranked system, the Sox around 15th. SD still managed to keep Ethan Salas, their top prospect, who is only 0/14 but a superlative defender at least. (They're also getting away with Dustin Harris and Austin Hays in the OF to the tune of 11 games over .500 now.) Caleb Bonemer was the only Sox prospect teams were interested in...really? Him or nothing? Well we know that's not true because of Boston Smith and Mason Adams, not to mention SS Vielma.

If it’s Sox staff members/interns being commented on…versus the typical banter of minor leaguers at a local Hooters after a game, two very different scenarios, like football players swooning over cheerleaders or Wonyoung from IVE (Kpop) throwing out the first pitch at Citifield in a barely there outfit and hearing catcalls from the dugout. Thirty years ago, you couldn’t spend ten minutes around the minor league players without hearing maricon this or puta that or suck my dick f—-t…or players constantly hitting on on our “models” manning the souvenir scorecard booth. Then there all the groupies invited with free passes to sit behind the plate with the scouts/radar guns and upcoming pitchers charting…everyone waiting to go out after the game together. Married players were a rare commodity…só it was definitely a machismo environment. Mix in lots of alcohol as well. Executives in the front office need to be held to a much higher standard in terms of behavioral expectations.

Let’s not forget the Mike Clevinger and Zach Plesac partying during COVID with minority shareholder’s kids … the getting re-signed three times by the Sox and all that came along with Clevinger, not to mention Pham again

Very small crowds for September night games in football territory Plus White Sox tickets weren’t exactly a hot commodity at the beginning of the season for pre sales

Sandlin has a flat fastball and Thorpe no fastball. But that stuff argument hasn't stopped Mason Adams his first four Rockies starts from being more than serviceable.

Definitely not the Takatsu/Hermanson/Jenks run in the pen or Pods/Iguchi manufacturing early game leads.

He has a .251 batting average, 1,144 hits, 216 homers, 644 RBIs and 624 runs scored in his career.

Backman was a legit contender for manager in the heydey of Phil Rogers... Don't forget Wes Helms Daryl Boston

Or the opposite, since he openly ran a gay bar/Club Burn in Phoenix that was tolerated by KW...and then there was the trainer who claimed he was fired by Hahn due to sexual orientation, but pretty sure he lost that suit. We checked off racist/sexist against women already with Shirley...not sure about the trinity of sexual preference/s, but generally goes along with the other two. (Omar Vizquel was the most recent egregious example of sexual discrimination/bullying behavior...) Also makes you wonder if GEtz Thome Hostetler Barfield Watson Jin Wong did anything to stop it...or, heck, Hahn/KW too.

pitched too recently

Minnesota Oregon and OSU all pooping the bed...except for MI holding the home field against OU not to mention Washington barely winning against Utah State Illinois losing at home to Duke and WI/Rutgers programs in shambles Buckeyes fans are not going to be patient with Ryan Day after those last three "big game" losses

Surely will be a legal battle. The previous awareness of issues is obviously relevant ... we don't know if his contract was amended to reflect that.

No MAS appearances...except in blowouts either way eating up innings.

Vargas Peters Grichuk Hudson Newcomb holding the season together with 14 to go. Up 3 on Toronto in loss column. Texas was beating AZ.

has to be Hudson two lefties
