Dh Benintendi…Vargas to LF lol.

Isn’t Vargas better at second than third? Then Ramos is blocked…maybe rightfully so, but Vargas hasn't exactly outplayed anyone.

Please preserve the shutout lol. No Eder.

Sosa up to .250/629.

9/26 Sox vs. Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim 1:10PM - final home game
Would they bench Vargas for Ramos…or play Vargas at second instead? Baldwin at second, maybe? One of the three seems to be the odd man out unless they force Baldwin to SS where he would be pretty abysmal defensively as an everyday player? But then where Sosa? probably Baldwin to AAA but that infield defense will still be a total mess…albeit cheap as hell

But have to feel good for Grady and team for showing up and not just giving up completely. Still fighting to get to 40 wins. Sunday with Skubal scratched best shot or Crochet tmrw for 4 against TBA.

Like when mlb figured out to lay off Shingo Takatsu frisbee and wait for 88-90 fastballs behind in count…

Wonder what Carson Fulmer is thinking now lol? Would he be willing to throw more gasoline onto the Sox fire? Biggest run scoring inning of season by far. Everyone but Robinson and Amaya have scored…two worst hitters.

9/26 Sox vs. Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim 1:10PM - final home game
White Sox players and Sizemore simply decided to not let the record be broken to jeers at home against them. First five game winning streak at home in two years, potentially. Mini version of Major League 3 heading into weekend. Winning to spite fans, GM, owner, Grifol. Haters, lol. Skubal now likely scratched for Detroit Sunday…and why oh why didn’t we draft five tooler Riley Greene??? 6-0 lead. Crazy.

Battle of the Broadcasters this weekend
Tigers have rallied from 3-0 down to take 4-3 lead late. Question is whether they can close it out. 10 years since last playoff appearance Magic number 3 for the moment, Minnesota plays tonight.. Just don’t want to see Crochet overthrow tmrw in what will weirdly feel like a postseason game with loss record and Detroit unreal home crowd possibly looking to clinch WC. Royals rallied 7-4 lead late. Would both be +11 with Minny absolutely needing a win to stay two back with three. And Minnesota with tiebreaker situation head to head with Det has to win 4/4 probably. Benetti has a magic moment. What a comeback. And maybe the pressure to sweep the Sox is now off and no Skubal on Sunday. Still no Detroit starter for tmrw announced.

At least Flexen has saved the minor leaguers from being further overexposed and one of the few earning his contract legitimately…takes the ball every start and battles his butt off.

Robinson challenging Maldonado…and not sure exactly what the purpose of Amaya is.

Bleacher Report: White Sox expose MLB's not so secret crisis of bad ownership
They just got a new WNBA expansion team that will follow Golden State and Toronto…giving them 15 teams in league.

Royals starting to beat up Corbin, worst pitcher in baseball since 2019 WS who has made 30+ starts every season regardless, the most durable/available. That would be 11 games over, with Minnesota at +6. TB 2-0 over Det, who will be +9/+11. Wouldn’t be totally shocked if they signed Corbin to replace Flexen and possibly mentor Crochet. Or Kyle Hendricks.

Texas at LAA looked quite different for a season ending series in April.

Buster Olney and Jesse Rogers’s turn ripping the Sox
“One other thing that struck me from all of this is that they hadn’t even interviewed Hinch yet…which made me wonder why they had a jpeg of his signature already – let’s get cart and horse in the correct order. Did Jerry decide to hire TLR before Rick could hire AJ Hinch without interviewing him? In which case, holy hell this was some serious dysfunction. Another possibility I’ve contemplated is that it was just a “call coming from inside the house.” Did Rick Hahn just go scrape a picture of AJ Himch’s signature and include that in the initial press release to highlight the fact that that would have been his choice? I’ve made some executive hires and been hired for exec jobs and no one has ever asked me for a head shot before the interview and I’ve never asked that of anyone else.” SoxMachine/Margalus column comment…need to get Hahn’s truth telling someday or he keeps it secret to protect JR relationship. Or was it Haber?

Seems the veteran overpaid white relievers/Lynn were just as culpable as Anderson Middleton Grandal Jimenez Moncada and Robert…or simply removing Abreu from the picture. Not that Grandal comes out well either. TA and Hahn have been pretty damed quiet as well after being two most talkative, fwiw. Then you had Giolito and Hendriks leaving, creating another vacuum not filled at all by Grifol.

Bleacher Report: White Sox expose MLB's not so secret crisis of bad ownership
It’s simply seen as an old white man’s game. Look no further than JR. Is bringing in more modern tech and gambling ties to Draft Kings, LV and FanDuel really going to succeed at making it younger?

Pee Wee Reese, Roy Campanella, Duke Snider and Jackie Robinson.

Buster Olney and Jesse Rogers’s turn ripping the Sox
And Anderson was the best hitter combined in the AL from 2019-2021 or 22, something like that. Him or DJ LeMahieu. Talk about disappearing/disappointing cores.

Buster Olney and Jesse Rogers’s turn ripping the Sox
There’s another big problem…likely trading Robert, getting rid of all the Spanish speaking coaches, Sosa, Ramos Vargas Colas are all going to be increasingly isolated…along with DLS Iriarte Berroa. And getting Hispanic FA’s comfortable coming here? Let’s not forget ESPN’s Eduardo Perez is best friends with Grifol and knows EVERYTHING going on in that clubhouse…what do you think he would say if asked by anyone’s agent about going into that environment?

9/25 Sox vs. California Angels 6:40PM - is today the day?
Especially on the road…this will be a sub 2 hour game in all likelihood wanting to get out of town ASAP.

9/26 Sox vs. Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim 1:10PM - final home game
Almost feel sorry for Moncada getting skipped over start in last home game but maybe it’s irony highest salary and actually available to play. Will have to play in Winter Ball somewhere.

Elko is the main outside the box replacement for Sheets/Vaughn. Fringe prospect. Aren't they all…except for Monty Quero and pitchers?

Battle of the Broadcasters this weekend
And we also have bonus baseball on Monday with Mets/Braves DH…moved from the path of Hurricane Helene and just one game separating the two as of this exact moment. And the possibility of Benetti missing a playoff clincher on Saturday while doing Fox #2 game with Damon Huard.
