  1. Having an incredible breakout. Of course Cubs needed a better guy there than Michael Fulmer. That's not the guy who lives in the van down by the river with Chris Farley is it? Just remembered it was Daniel Norris lol. Heyward of all Dodgers with the key at bat of the game.
  2. Mookie Betts at SS so Outman and Trayce Thompson can play RF and CF...never thought I'd be typing that about five years ago.
  3. https://nypost.com/2023/04/20/michael-kays-excuse-for-stantons-lack-of-hustle-off-base/
  4. See old Memorial Stadium in CLE, the "mistake by the lake."
  5. James Outman announces he will never play for the Chicago White Sox (in the future) until/unless Rick Hahn is replaced as GM...
  6. Going to have to be like the Cubs throwing "undervalued/buy low" veterans like Wisdom Bellinger (potentially undervalued long term but not cheap), Mancini Hosmer Barnhart etc., at the problem. That's unfortunately much harder to do with veteran pitching due to cost the scarcity of high quality arms that go unsigned late.
  7. White Sox lose Ethan Katz to ___?___ PAC Ten or SEC baseball program...
  8. Now you can do one for Greg about his views on souvenirs/concession/parking prices, having a beer with Ozzie and the 2005 team at Applebee's in Lawrence, Chicagoland high school memories vis a vis the current diminished state of Catholic school education, the Royals and "lift and pull" corpseball....add the TA7 and now Burger to catcher schtick in there as well. Oh, haircuts during Covid, encountering "interesting" strangers in the Subway sandwich line...Covid policies in general. That's a wide breadth of material to cover, but ChatGPT4 can surely handle it.
  9. Now you've gone and done it... Ron and KyYle and about 4-5 others will descend like locusts. The saddest thing about this season isn't being proven right about Hahn...it's just that ONCE AGAIN we have to watch other teams in baseball to actually experience high-quality baseball. I honestly don't know if we would be in much better shape had we retained TLR, but it's hard to imagine things being much worse, especially the future outlook and exactly where the heck do they go from here. And my prediction has been fulfilled at 3-2-1....just like clockwork.
  10. Dodgers starting Luke Williams at SS instead of the rumored Mookie Betts insertion there...that would have been something to watch. Obviously has played 2B much more recently at the big league level.
  11. It didn't even look or sound real, it looked like it was written by Boyer, his family or a PR agent/agency. Trading for All-Star outfielder Jimenez didn't make sense since he was in the minors...I guess he'd played already in the Futures Game at that point, but obviously not an MLB All-Star (yet). Overlooked the entire FA record and the last two deeply disappointing offseasons, as well as the failures to sign Machado, Harper and Wheeler (leading to the fallback of Keuchel), among a thousand different smaller sins. (Surprised it didn't not how many of those first round draft picks made the big leagues...conveniently overlooking how many became significant long-term contributors with the White Sox.) Nothing about Brian Ball and the "swept under the rug" lawsuit, either.
  12. Except negotiating with Lucas TA7 Cease Kopech isn't nearly as easy as those original team friendly overtures. And Vaughn over half the fan base would be against a long term deal. Just like other division teams couldn't get Berrios and Guardians now with Bieber. Worked out better for Minny... arguably.
  13. If only we had mid to late 90s Ventura back...
  14. 4. Twins (11-7 record, 1st in AL Central) "What’s different: Pitching. After posting a 3.98 ERA and 22.1 strikeout rate in 2022, Twins pitchers have the second-lowest ERA (2.69) and lead the Majors with a 29.1 strikeout rate in 2023. Pablo López, Sonny Gray and Joe Ryan have been a three-headed rotation monster while the bullpen has the fifth-lowest ERA (2.77). Challenge ahead: Keeping Byron Buxton and Carlos Correa healthy. It’s no secret that those two players are the driving star-level players the Twins need to get back to the playoffs. To their credit, the Twins have gotten off to this strong start despite both of them performing well below their career norms so far. Why it can stick: Their pitching looks legit and sustainable. López has a sizable velocity bump and a filthy new sweeper. Gray is bombarding opposing hitters with nasty breaking balls. Ryan’s new splitter has perfectly complemented his fastball and sweeper. Jhoan Duran and Jorge López have headlined a deep and dominant bullpen." mlb.com

  16. Congratulations to Brian Anderson, the one-time White Sox center fielder, who has returned to the Chicago area as an assistant baseball coach for Northwestern University...
  17. Maeda's probably due to an IL trip after getting drilled on the ankle.
  18. Detroit is playing quite well the last week after a terrible start...and KC for whatever reason the last couple of decades has played the Sox tougher than expected, starting down the stretch in 2005.
  19. Rodon turned out much better than Tyler Kolek and Brady Aiken...
  20. From 3 minutes onward... angry Burger face with the subsequent song for the win
  21. “Scouts like Tatis Jr.’s swing, his strong arm and his fluid actions on defense. He’s shown decent arm strength and raw power to his pull side. Tatis Jr.’s knack for barreling up balls and his repeatable swing have also impressed evaluators.” Jeff Buchanan of FutureSox wrote, “Tatis clearly doesn’t have the same upside as [White Sox top 2015 international signing] Franklin Reyes, but his well-rounded skillset, high baseball IQ and professional mentality mean he likely comes with less risk than Reyes and is a better bet to maximize his potential as a possible everyday player.” https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2020/04/how-did-the-white-sox-trade-fernando-tatis-jr.html
  22. Manager, Player Development Latin America Operations: Louis Silverio https://www.milb.com/player/louis-silverio-650589 who made this call? KW or Hahn? Please tell me he's not in any way related to Juan Silverio of the Dave Wilder Scandal!!!
  23. https://theathletic.com/4089120/2023/01/14/white-sox-san-mondry-cohen-arbitration-deals/ Rod Larson was an Asst. GM with the Nationals before coming over to the Sox in the offseason...
  24. Shirley hasn't had quite enough time but at least he's a legit outsider and thus much more likely to be honest/objective.
