8/11 White Sox vs. Brewers | 7:10PM NBCSCH
Only 30 pitches. Cease and Kopech alone will destroy the pen next year. Touki as well.

Meanwhile Clevinger at 96-97 with multiple TJS. Moncada did finally run well on that double this week...must have been inspired by attention of Yankees' game.

Kopech apparently never learned how to defend his position or get in the proper fielding pose after release. Cubs up 6-0 update for Lip and Ron.

Doubt we'll throw out two runners in one game again the remainder of the season.

She'll probably blame it on the White Sox. Checks. No that contract expired at end of 2022.

Dodgers have completely overhauled Lynn pitch mix
And Grandal will be gone. Sheets likely gone...at least hopefully. Frazier gone. So only Benintendi walks at the MLB average of 8.6% Everyone else is below. And that was 2-3 days ago so he's probably under average now even.

Maybe the Reds have another run in them? Looks like it might be Keuchel's last start ever...ERA up to 7.11 or about what we got out of Lance Lynn this year. Make that 8.10. No 9.45. Done done done.

Cubs already up 3-0 in Toronto...Keuchel somehow got through 2 scoreless but now tied 2-2 with Phillies in the 3rd. Four consecutive reached.

https://sports.yahoo.com/orioles-announcer-kevin-brown-addresses-suspension-ahead-of-return-to-broadcast-booth-200503232.html At least the Orioles were smart enough to realize fighting a recently re-engaging fanbase wasn't the smartest thing in the world to do.

Frank Francisco...another White Sox tie. You wonder how many FA's would want to sign with the white Sox now if the reason wasn't money or Luis Robert (before he gets traded).

None of this would happen under Ozzie
Same question for TLR...of course he ended up causing more to question his HoF credentials in the end. Especially because so much of his legacy was reliant on the likes of McGwire and Canseco.

Well, wouldn’t it be 1977?
-
None of this would happen under Ozzie
They were at least competitive through 2010. But no...Ozzie Guillen isn't the answer. He got triggered by KW drafting/paying family members but then went ballistic when they refused to do the same for his kids. That was the height of being petty. Two egos too big to coexist at that point.

I guess with ballplayer logic in play here you’d have to go after Jose Ramirez until he was down…which would spill over into more retaliation against whoever took out their franchise player.

I think it depends. That Rob Fick/Weaver brouhaha early in 2000 definitely helped to propel that team forward in the first half of the season IMO.
