None of it makes any sense. Or that we should NOW be taking the time to focus on and celebrate these three consecutive victories over "playoff caliber" teams and ignoring everything else that has happened the entire season...like there's some type of award for 2 or 3 game streaks. Another thing...the Mariners basically fell apart the season they traded Graveman to Houston at the end while simultaneously trying to compete, it's not like he has ever been considered a clubhouse problem at any of his previous stops. And Kelly has spent most of his time either injured or writing a book.

Burger being the one at fault here makes absolutely zero sense...he's the only longer term guy traded.

If anything, that story somehow makes Anderson look almost sympathetic compared to Grandal. Sharing it makes it increasingly difficult to get another MLB job. More about TA's bunker mentality and defensiveness the last year. Plus it makes him look kind of two faced for supporting him publicly in the past.

All I know is guys like Grandal Pollock and Benintendi seem/ed like anti-leaders… And this puts all those rumors about what Madrigal was doing to create tensions in the clubhouse in a completely different light because he probably expected a team culture like Oregon State where everyone toed the line. Add his strong religious beliefs into a clubhouse split along racial and ethnic lines…
