    Steve9347?

Welcome back Steve. Hope you had a nice break.
  2. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Jul 30, 2010 -> 03:37 PM) I dont think that at all. He's has one good month this season, and that was in June, besides that hes been absolutely terrible. Hey its all opinion either way. There hasn't been enough of a Hudson sample to compare yet. It just annoys me how people look at his salary for next year and declare this Kenny's worst trade ever and all that. Maybe he puts it together for half a season here and we trade him for a cheaper, better option than Hudson in the offseason. Things can change fast.
  3. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 30, 2010 -> 03:34 PM) Pena definitely has stunk. It would have been interesting to see him get the start tonight, however. He''s been about the same as Jenks. Who you have said multiple times has had a good season.
  4. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Jul 30, 2010 -> 03:31 PM) You really think that a struggling, terrible second half pitcher, is worth the $8.5 million upgrade while losing your youngest, cheapest, most impactful pitcher? I think Jackson is a better pitcher right now than Hudson and believe he has more potential than Hudson. The 8.5 million isn't for me to worry about.
  5. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jul 30, 2010 -> 03:25 PM) And it should be clear that on todays market, Jackson at 8mil was worth more than Hudson. KW isnt going out and doing other teams favors. This was all he could get for Hudson. Id rather have Jackson out there every 5 days than Hudson this season. I'm with you on this one. I'd rather have Jackson out there this year than Hudson. It's not like there is a salary cap. I know we have a limit but it isn't set in stone and maybe they are willing to go to the high end of the range because of this deal.
  6. I wish I had something to do right now. Me sitting at my computer hitting refresh every 2 minutes is just sad.
  7. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jul 30, 2010 -> 02:22 PM) Sometimes I think that it's all fake and it's just a message board personality. But then I wonder... I'm not sure what to believe.
  8. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 30, 2010 -> 02:20 PM) I'm not trying to be sarcastic. I love Gordo. this is funny stuff.
  9. I just can't get mad about trades anymore. I'm not the owner so I don't have a say in what KW does. I prefer to just watch and cheer for whoever they put out there. Except in the case of Juan Pierre. That one pissed me off.
  10. I'll just roll with it here. I don't feel it's worth getting up in arms about. Maybe it will work out. I'll just have to wait and see.
  11. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jul 30, 2010 -> 12:30 AM) The wave does indeed suck. You know what else sucks? All the $60 "authentics" that people now have. First it was football, then hockey, now their invading baseball stadiums nationally. Disgusting. Just buy the replica for $100. I have a $30 Beckham authentic. It is actually authentic though. Fell off of a truck.
  12. Can't wait for Psych again tonight. One of my favorites.
  13. Moose is the best. I always am highly entertained when he is in the booth. Seems like one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet.
  14. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Jul 28, 2010 -> 07:23 PM) Dude, stop peeing in girls' mouths. This is why you haven't found "the one" yet.
  15. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 28, 2010 -> 06:42 PM) What was realistic to you? Let's say an .850 OPS (more than feasible considering he put up an .864 OPS just last year with us). That's still worlds better than the crap that's been Mark Kotsay and the puke that's been Andruw Jones (at least since his hot April). Ozzie couldn't find at bats for Thome but he could find 250 PAs before August for a guy that was about to be designated for assignment before we scooped him up for superstar Brian Anderson? I'm sorry. Ozzie, at least in this case, is a f***ing tard. I don't care about 2005. That was your ultimate fluke. You will not win with a manager with this line of thinking consistently. Ship his ass out. I'm not saying that I thought Kotsay was a better option. I just didn't want Thome. I wanted us to sign someone that can actually hit. Thome would have been better than this crap. I agree with you on that.
  16. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 28, 2010 -> 04:38 PM) On what planet is one sick of a .900+ OPS? I don't care if my DH doesn't have Carl Crawford's speed. I don't think the Red Sox and Rangers are too concerned about Ortiz's and Vlad's legs. I want my DH to mash. You honestly thought he was going to put up a .900+ OPS this season? I personally saw a 39 year old slugger on his last legs last year. He hadn't had a .900 or higher OPS since 2006 and seemed to be regressing and starting to break down. I had no problem letting him go and am not going to say it was a mistake like I knew he would be hitting this well. Who's to say he would have put up those numbers here playing every day? For all we know, he would've hurt his back playing every day.
  17. I hate the Thome talk. If anything we've talked too much about it. I'm still glad we didn't re-sign him. I was sick of Paulie, Jermaine, and Thome in the middle of the lineup. Obviously I'd like someone other than Kotsay, but it really was time for Thome to go.
  18. QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Jul 24, 2010 -> 02:03 AM) I know someone with that on their license plates....
  19. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Jul 21, 2010 -> 01:12 PM) I reference the rooftop dance scene in High School Musical 3, but since i cant find a pic of that, this will have to do: Do I even have to make a joke here?

    Films Thread

I can wait until it comes out on DVD. Not really super excited to see it even with the glowing reviews.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jul 14, 2010 -> 03:07 PM) How long are you there? Starved Rock is ok, but Matthiessen, like 4 miles up the road, is better. I've been to both a million times. Starved Rock is a good time, and the bluffs are cool, but at Matthiessen there normally aren't as many people, it's more "natural," and you get to hike up and down the creek (which is nice on a hot day). Assuming there's some water down there, I'd check that out too. I second this. Matthiessen is way better imo.
  22. QUOTE (The Gooch @ Jul 14, 2010 -> 05:47 PM) I might be going to game either Saturday or Sunday. Most likely Sunday. I still have to get tickets, are they likely to sell out? Already sold out I believe. I got mine for 80 a piece.
  23. Alright, I'm going up to Minnesota this weekend and will be going to the game on Friday. Anyone else making the trip up? Any suggestions for things to do before and after the game?
  24. Right now I'd put Dirk, Nash, and Duncan ahead of Bosh as well.
