Bears Hire Shea as their new OC
baggio202 replied to Chisoxfn's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
i remember feeling that way about mcnown after he threw 4 td's against detroit or something like that...if only he could play detroit every week,...he'd be better than tom brady im cautiously optomistic about grossman...he made some nice plays year..and i was more impressed with some of the plays he didnt make..like just dumping the ball off or throwing it out of bounds...but i also saw a kid that wants to throw the bomb on every play..he has to change that mentality...he is also kinda small..i hope he is tough enough to withstand an NFL schedule.. time will tell with rex..but its a better situation then what we have had at the QB position in a long time -

lets give grossman some time to develop...i dont want to see another cade mcclown situation...i still believe under the right situation mcclown could have been a good QB..lets not do the same to rex with unreasonable expectations.. -
the sox also ned a left handed bat with power for the middle of the line up...come to think of it..we need alot of things
-
if you are worried about local thugs , and its a valid concern , chicago led the nation in murders last year ,then do what the guy in wilmette did..buy a gun..defend yourself...thats one of the principles this country was founded on

id rather have nixon over damon.. i agree with cwsox on this one...too many teams..one of them would throw a monkey wrench into this thing and screw it all up...

no..tony gonzalez was their best reciever -
even with an easy schedule i wouldnt expect much...another 7-9 season at best..im using as my barometer jerry azumah...the day he is no longer in our secondary is the day ill start to believe this franchise may have turned the corner...that guy is the worst cover corner ive ever seen...
-
the NRA should offer their legal services to this guy...charging him with any wrongdoing goes against everything this country stands for
-
wouldnt surprise me if some team talked him into a comeback during the middle of the season...he's retired a few times now
-
hey lets send maggs to arizona for this guy..remember KW said he was a 5 tool player

he had a lot more weapons in KC then he has here....even if this is the right coach and OC we are still 3 years away..providing there are no more screw ups in draft picks and free agents that we let go and sign -
ive kinda grown tired of rowand but ill add this in his favor..either play him or trade him..lets once and for all find out if this kid can play..i dont want to go into next year having the same concerns
-
if the deal sounds too good to be true..it probably is....this deal makes no sense to me if im in philly...i dont care how much pitching you have if you are looking to overtake the braves you dont trade pitchers... they rae basically giving us randy wolf in this trade..a lefty starter..

according to the article on the sox website this guy will be taking flash's role at the start of last year and koch will still close...if the sox are serious about trading koch they have to have him close so he can prove he still can do it...otherwise no one will take on his contract after last year's performance...

gotta watch saturday night live this week
-
alot of teams have half nights and stuff though....KC has a 5 dollar ticket and 5 dollar parking plan..that includes free hot dogs...i think thats on thursdays for them....
-
no way beltran is worth 9 million...but it does show KC is serious about winning the division...

thats a good assessment of the current political scene another thing to look at is money....right now the dem primaries are looking alot like the repubs of '96...where dole came out the winner but spent so much money , time and energy on getting the nomination he had nothing left for clinton... at this time in '00 pretty much everyone knew bush had it in the bag...bush actually campaigned hard all of two weeks up to the SC primary where he put mccain away..after thet he coasted... i dont see that happening to the dem candidates..lieberman and gephardt just sliced up dean in iowa...its gonna be a blood bath
-
gagne's numbers are mind boggling..its hard to put up hose kinds of numbers in a playstation game
-
maybe they are delaying it until the sox actually gets some prospects
-

-
i hope this kid is the real deal but man i think the hype is taking on a life of its own....this kid cant fart w/o it somebody writing about it....remember crede , now borchard??..reed is probably 2 years away
-

thats really cool...id love an opportunity to meet a legend like that -
im taking brady over manning everytime....you cant argue with winning...that's what he does... i got a feeling manning might be traveling the dan marino highway..getting to the playoffs year after year but never quite getting it done...
