  1. also I don't wanna rip on the pitching too much. after sitting back and looking at the situation as a whole, the offense can't expect to win many games unless they actually put runs on the board as annoying as Bummer, Ruiz and Heuer have been, they basically have zero margin for error lately Abreu has been extremely disappointing this year, and the injuries haven't helped Sox need a power injection badly
  2. Sox FO only care about winning the division, probably couldn't care less about individual matchups. No matter how bad the team looks nationally. Sox playing in such a horrible division isn't gonna prepare them for the more competitive teams they'll see in the playoffs also the offense should've been addressed via trade a month ago, but again, they're not gonna do shit with a 7+ game lead sucks as fans but meh
  3. The most dominant 1 and done team in the AL
  4. Lol right on cue for Cease, 8 straight starts giving up at least a run in the first 3 innings
  5. Will they get this game all the way through? Also, Engel vs a right??
  6. wonder if Boras would accept a 4 year deal setup like 10m > 16m > 20m (PO) > 28m (CO) obviously heavily backloaded for if he continues to be dominant, but allows the player to bank on themselves after the 3rd year idk
  7. https://thespun.com/more/top-stories/stephen-a-smith-salary-espn-reaction-news/amp Didnt know he was the highest paid person at ESPN, seems legit
  8. you gotta play him in LF at least a few times a week to keep the rust off. if the Sox make it to the WS, Eloy isn't gonna be on the bench in NL parks
  9. Moncada has been a massive disappointment. I'm sure I'll take some flak for saying that but I'm sure I'm not the only Sox fan on these boards who agrees, this was the main piece for Sale remember.
  10. he didn't pitch poorly, but he put the Sox offense behind early -again- and it's a trend for him
  11. Cease has given up 1 or more runs in the first 3 innings in his last 6 starts, he seems to always put the Sox behind early
  12. Looks like Eloy went yard in the first game
  13. his ability to cheat and stay back on fastballs is otherworldly
  14. I'd rather Ruiz walk in a run than give up a slam
  15. Vaughn really seems to have made an adjustment to RHP
  16. extended? like a fake IL trip? no, nor would his agent agree to something like that in his walk year but if they wanna limit his innings or pitch count for a few starts, I could see that being helpful down the stretch
  17. I had no idea Moncada will be making 13m/17m/24m/25m in '22/'23/'24/'25 for some reason I thought the Sox had him signed to some kind of Quintana-esque deal. I missed that memo Jesus Christ, that contract is gonna be verrrrrrry interesting in a couple years. so yeah, I don't see Cleveland being even remotely interested in Moncada+ prospects. RIP for what it's worth I'd rather have Jose Ramirez for the remainder of his deal than Moncada and his
  18. What would it take to get them to trade Jose Ramirez? You think the Sox have the chips?
