This achieves that goal, and unlocks 3B in 4 years if they want to put a cheaper option there Adjust the 60 mil to whatever you want, but I don't see any team absorbing Machado's deal unless a significant portion is picked up.

it's very unlikely Houston loses HFA in the first rd. The Sox are 2 games back in the loss column with 3 games left. If the Sox sweep DET it would put them at 94-68 and only need OAK to take 3 of 4. If the Sox take 2 of 3, it puts them at 93-69 and need OAK to sweep. If Houston takes the first two games vs Oakland, TLR should just play the scrubs and rest everyone else
