  1. as awful as their approach was that inning, I can tell you right now they're gonna fuck this kid up badly tonight based on his stuff
  2. you guys explanation makes sense. for some reason, I read "elimination" as being eliminated from the playoffs
  3. nah it's gotta be an error, they don't show an E for Oakland or Seattle. sorry for posting this in two threads haha
  4. yeah that's what I thought, but on the division standings page it shows an E next to Toronto
  5. MLB.com says Toronto is eliminated, yet theyre only 2GB on the wildcard. How can they already be eliminated?
  6. How is Toronto eliminated with 8 games left and they're only 2 games out of the wildcard?
  7. How many IP does Kopech get next year? Will they roll a hybrid 5+ man rotation? Giving Kopech alternating starts to increase his workload?
  8. really? is there a video of this? I don't have access to NBC Sports Chi
  9. imo you can't ignore how the majority of players the Sox acquire at deadlines and during the offseason end up coming here and performing well below their career numbers, it's been an issue for years and I'd chalk it up to the atmosphere and environment that is fostered, they aren't nearly as effective at creating a winning atmosphere like more professional clubs do (like STL, TB, BOS, even post scandal HOU). I would love to talk to guys like Melky Cabrera and ask him what was different about the Sox (training staff, coaching, preparation techniques, etc) compared to NYY Maybe I'm way overthinking this but it just seems that way, guys come here and more often than not we are left scratching our heads about why they suck once the uniform changes
  10. "NOTHING TO SEE HERE GUYS, EVERYTHING IS FINE, LALALALALA SHUT UP"
  11. wait til they clinch, it'll be even worse
  12. Tigers gonna sweep this corpse team
  13. next 3 guys up for DET are a combined 5 for 7 with a BB, if Tony rolls the dice again on Keuchel lol
  14. Keuchel shouldn't have started this inning after his bases juiced 4th, TLR is the dumbest manager in this division
  15. yeah this just seems bogus imo
  16. a beast? ? I didn't like the trade but I doubt he turns into Pedroia
  17. yeah that's a strawman, his problem is whenever guys get on base they steal easily on him because he has no awareness at all, and then his command goes to shit because he freaks out and then boom, big inning look at his stats vs good teams, the only good team he's had success against is Toronto. he also straight up sucks on the road (ERA over 5) BOS: 11.05 ERA NYY: 7.71 HOU: 9.00 asking him to dominate is unrealistic, but he isn't even good vs the top teams. if we have to rely on Cease in the playoffs he will get clobbered, and that critique is based on facts and data, not your feelings
  18. Hahn and KW will blame all the injuries when they get bounced by the Astros
