Sox @ Royales with cheese (4/23 @ 6:10 p.m. CT)
T R U replied to Jabroni's topic in 2005 Season in Review
Just to throw some info out there... Here was the question on Sportscenter "Who will make the Playoffs?: Cubs or White Sox" Jeff Brantley: "Chicago is gonna be real sad come October because no matter how hot the Sox start, they wont make it. Take a look over in Minnesota." -
Redskins interested in Bears #4 pick
T R U replied to southsider2k5's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Apr 22, 2005 -> 09:02 PM) Tru, we don't need Ware. We already have Brown/Haynes/Ogunlye on the ends. Then again, I might be thinking of the wrong guy, but isn't Ware good enough to where he can adjust to playing OLB? If we do go that route -- and trade to get the #9 and #25 and an extra pick, I'd love to grab Derrick Johnson there... And then grab your WR/TE at #25. Please, someone tell me that I'm a f***ing nut for liking Johnson so damn much. Someone, please... Ware can play OLB, thats what I was projecting him as oh yeah, and your not nuts, Johnson is an animal -
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 22, 2005 -> 09:01 PM) counter Either way, doesnt change the fact were winning!

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 22, 2005 -> 08:58 PM) If the wind wasn't being such a b**** tonight Crede and Pierzinski would both of had Home Runs. But I guess it's better that they didn't, this way they show off their small ball. I dont give a s***, were winning and its awesome!

Redskins interested in Bears #4 pick

QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Apr 22, 2005 -> 08:41 PM) If they give us like both their their 1st rounders and Rod Gardner and all we have to give them our 1st and les say a 4th or 5th id do it. We get our WR need and if we draft Troy Williamson we have an actual strength at WR. Or who knows maybe some stud like Pac Man Jones or Derrick Johnson are available at #9. Getting Rod Gardner and drafting Williamson isnt needed... Gardner and Muhsin is good as it is You wanna use the other 2 picks on need pos. If Ware is available at #9 he would be a beast, and then at 25 you take the best player there to help your team (For the Bears) which will still be a nice addition -
trade Rowand, I never liked him anyways

Redskins interested in Bears #4 pick

QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Apr 22, 2005 -> 05:01 PM) In a draft where the #1 is not even commanding 3 1's, the suggestion that the #4 will command that much is pretty strange. We shall see. SB I never said it would take 3 #1's I just said that they dont have a #1 next year or any higher picks to deal this year... so they wouldnt have the ammo to do so.. It all depends on how bad they want a certain player with the amount they will give up for them -
Happy Birthday mang

Redskins interested in Bears #4 pick

QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Apr 22, 2005 -> 01:32 PM) No I really wouldnt. Go through the history of the draft and see how many times the 4th pick has been worth 3 first rounders. The Bears traded their last 4th pick for: 14 and 22, and a 4th rounder 14 and 22, and 4th rounder (116) on the point scale add up to: 1100 (14), 800 (22), and 70 (116) Meaning that the Bears only recieved 1970 points for the 4th pick, which is lower than what they would be getting from the Redskins. ::shrugs:; SB Whatever you want to believe man -

QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Apr 22, 2005 -> 12:08 PM) From charts Ive looked at 4 is around 2200 points 9 is 1300 25 is 750 200 points is a mid 3rd round pick. So all the Redskins have to do is offer a 2nd round for next year and its a pretty fair trade. No way is the 4 worth 3 1st round picks. SB Actually, youd be surprised -
Source: UNC's Felton, May to declare; Williams?
T R U replied to greasywheels121's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
Haha, and May said he was staying... now they lose everyone.. Thats gonna hurt -
I honestly dont think the draft will look like that at all 1. because of recent news 2. trades (Oakland and Skins)

QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Apr 22, 2005 -> 11:16 AM) Redskins can always offer next years picks too. Dont forget that Snyder will vasty over pay for something he wants. SB They dont have a first next year, they already traded it away.. and #4 overall is worth a next years first as well which they cant offer.. The Skins have like 5 picks this year I think.. 2 firsts and then some 4ths or higher... they dont have the ammo IMO -
Redskins interested in Bears #4 pick
T R U replied to southsider2k5's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
The Redskins cant trade up to 4 and if they do the Bears are dumbasses #9 and #25 isnt enough for #4, and the Skins have nothing else of value... no 2nd, and no 1st round next season.. They dont have the ammo for a trade up of that value, Bears need to stand where they are and grab Mike Williams or a RB at #4 because Im starting to believe Miami is gonna take Braylon -
Miami traded Surtain to the Chiefs for a 2nd round pick and they will be swapping 5th round picks too.. Not too happy with the compensation but it gives us 8 million in relief and a 2nd round pick now..

Man, how can these guys be some dumb at cheating... Its not that hard if you do it right

QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Apr 21, 2005 -> 07:09 PM) Benson, outside of dreadlocks ant playing at UT, Benson is nothing like Ricky. Especially personality wise. Benson busts his ass off the field and has a great passion for football. I used to wonder about him also, but the latest ESPN Mag has a great article on him. He would be a solid pick, but I still like Cadillac more. Would someone post who they pick for Pitt whenever they get there? Thanks. Benson doesnt even have Dreads anymore, shaved them off so the Ricky comparisons would stop..
-
ROFL They had Ronnie Brown going #13 That was a HORRIBLE HORRIBLE mock draft Miami will NOT take Aaron Rodgers, its Smith or Edwards, 100% guarantee if they dont trade out... If not, Miami is the biggest smoke screen franchise in the NFL

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Apr 21, 2005 -> 10:38 AM) I disagree with your post. I think that our main objective is going to be building our team from the minor league system. Its hard to deny that Brian Anderson may be ready for the bigs next year. I think that its not too far off to think that Dye may be DH'ing a little bit while Anderson fills in the outfield. I still think that Crede is gone and Fields will be up. Also there is a possibilty that our bullpen may also be filled in with a few new guys as well. All in all, I look forward to rebuilding from the ground up in 2007. Looking at our team right now, I would say our most pressing need would be a closer.. we need someone who is going to be THE man to come in and nail the game down.. I honestly want Jenks to be that man, but if its someone else, whatever... Im just tired of us having a committee every season.. We need a damn closer who is going to be the guy we turn to, not maybe you one day or you the next.. ONE GUY!!!
