It was Jason Johnson, not Jason Jennings. You almost gave me a heart attack thinking the Tigers somehow acquired Jennings and were going to take a stab at the division.
Wow, good comedy there. Haigwood rules and so does Flores. I've been behind these guys all year (well Flores hasn't been in Kanny all year, whatever). I like Haigwood because BMac posted he had 'electric stuff' and it just stuck with me. Plus he has the same first name as me.
Could Nelson in RF mean that the Sox are looking to get him up in place of Borchard? Nelson has been having a better year and he deserves a shot somehow.
This was only Shannon Stewart's 2nd game with Rochester. He's 3 for 7.
Maybe during this part of the season with Reed gone I can see him being untouchable. However, during the offseason I see no reason for any prospect to be untouchable unless he is labeled the second coming, which Anderson is not.
If the right trade came along.......that's what I said and I'm sticking to it. Regardless Anderson isn't the second coming and shouldn't be in the untouchable category.
There is really no such thing as an untouchable prospect. If the right deal comes along Kenny will not hesitate to deal Anderson. That doesn't mean he is throwing him around like a bidding chip. I agree it is unlikely that he will be dealt, but you never know with prospects.
Belliard has better numbers than Uribe. Check.
Sabathia and Westbrook are having deserving years. Check.
Victor Martinez is having a better year than our catchers, Miguel Olivo included. Check.
Matt Lawton is having an awesome year, better than any of our outfielders. Check.
If Travis Hafner got in instead of Frank or Konerko I'd be pissed. The Indians that are in somehow deserve it. I know it seems weird that the 3rd place team has more than twice as many players in the AS game than the two teams ahead of them in the standings combined.
However, I do think Shingo deserves it over Tom Gordon and Frank and/or Konerko belong. Buehrle is having a better year than Loaiza too. But my beef is not with the Indians guys that are in.
How's a 3.21 ERA in 14 starts sound? I don't know about you, but that's damn good. And, oh wait, that would be the best on our staff. Quit b****ing about no names getting on the all-star team. Westbrook is having a great year, period.
