What does Garland have to do with this. Buehrle, Garcia, Loaiza, Garland, Shoe as has been mentioned before. I'm confused as to how Garland comes into the picture in the bullpen. Diaz and Rauch are both below Shoe. I don't see either being consistent enough to beat him out. Shoe probably needed the rest from not usually being a starter. He may not have been physically capable to go a full year as a starter. I think he will be better once he comes back.

I'm going Wednesday and Friday. I was planning on walking up, but with the momentum I may have to buy ahead to get half way decent seats.

Ehh, I get what you are saying but hate comparisons to the 2000 team. That team manufactured runs well enough to get through the inevitable slump that HR hitting teams go through. This offense is hot now, but when the HRs stop coming up the wazzoo this team will struggle. They need to learn to manufacture runs before they can garner any comparisons to the 2000 team in my eyes.

Actually this has probably happened before, but we just haven't had the pitching to win. Props to Jon! The hitters didn't have it today, but the pitching was a thing of beauty.

Come a week's time our bullpen will suck again. I can't believe we have a thread about this saying that our bullpen will turn things into 6 innings games. Shingo has been great, but he can't pitch everyday. Politte was awful, but has been great of late. Marte has been good for the most part, but has had his bad moments. Other than that? Even if Politte decides to turn it around for good and Marte stays consistent we can't pitch 3 guys all the time.

Freddy has great stuff, but he hung too many pitches. I'd like to see him throw more fastballs. When you throw as many breaking balls as Garcia did, you are bound to hang some.

His last start in AAA was the 18th. He pitched against the Cubs on the 26th. The Knights had a couple days off because of rainout or 2 and maybe a day off, but they had 2 days off. He would have pitched the day before for Charlotte on their rotation. It was a long time off, but at least it wasn't under short rest.

He should be fine. Show said it best, his first start was his Major League debut so you can throw that out, his 2nd start was on 3 days rest. The Cubs start was his first start under normal circumstances.

Tetsu has also sucked for the most part since moving up to Charlotte.

I don't mean to mock you even more, but make an example of you. That's how you started your post. In looking back you say you were pretty damn pissed. So even when you respond with what seem like logical points at the time, you are just pissed and it is in fact a knee jerk reaction. This is why I do not post after games. Hell I didn't even post for a bit after the Garcia trade because I was so pissed. I'm not trying to make myself sound great and I realize I probably sound like I am. My point is that people should not take these posts to heart so much. Knee jerk reactions are normal. It's ok to vent, just don't get into a big emotional argument where these :fyou and these :headshake are flying.
